Bad Ebay sellers?
Is there a place to discuss bad ebay sellers? Here, or on another site?
Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the help.

I did the "buy it now" for a Khador Berserker and the shipping was $8.50. Yeah, I know the usual price low/shipping high scam to get more money, so I checked on getting 2 and the shipping on 2 was the same so I bought them.
I immediately went to their online credit card vendor and paid with VISA.
After almost a week nothing has processed on my card.
I ask about when I should expect them, no reply.
After several more attempts I finally get an email telling me they made a mistake and the shipping is $8.50 each. That's it.
They took down the auction and replaced it with the exact same auction and added "shipping is per item"
I send back an email stating that I understand but expect them to honor the contract and process the original amount and ship as soon as they can. The $8.50 shipping will MORE than cover any actual shipping costs.
Then...nothing. They don't process..etc...
I send several email asking politely when I can expect it..
Finally I tell them that all I want is what is agreed to and that I hate leaving negative feedback but I really want the items. (at this point it's not about the Berserkers)
I get a reply that horribly angry talking about how they don't like threats and they'll leave me negative feedback, etc...
I reply that they have no need for that because I have been communicative, polite, and very patient. (this is about 2-3 weeks after the original sale.)
They make me agree to not give them negative feedback in order to complete the order. I grudgingly agree and clearly state that I will leave neutral feedback with a comment of only "thanks".
I am told to resend my VISA info, I do.
Nothing.......for about another week or so.
I send 2 more polite questions asking when I can receive the Berserkers and finally I'm harangued for bothering them and they agree to send the Berserkers if I give them my VISA info again.
I agree and give it again. About 8 days later I get a manilla envelope with a box for 1 Berserker in it and they had put all the parts for 2 in the box. The envelope was torn, the box was crushed. The shipping was $3.27.
I left neutral feedback with a simple "Thanks" as my comment just as I agreed. (against my better judgement but I am a man of my word)
I got this horrible email asking why, after they sent the stuff I gave them a neutral feedback. "Are you for real" was what they asked.
I was truly flabbergasted.
And then they left me horrible negative feedback.
I was appalled. I had perfect feedback to that point. (paulwnewton is my ebay name)
Now there's a big red dot hanging there like a fart in an elevator.
I just wish there was some other wayto alert people other than the flawed ebay system.

First off... before a Mod, Admin or (God forbid) BTown watchman gets a hold of you... This doesn't really belong here.
You should read the description of this area first.
This would have been better in the Messages & Misc thread, or somewhere on the discussion side.
That being said, there is a way, through eBay, that you can argue that it was undeserved.
In the mean time, respond to your negative that it is retaliatory for a neutral you left that was deserved. Most people really don't give a rip about a negative or 3, as long as your ref's are overly positive... especially when it is so obvious why you got it.

Lower rating? You ship first.
Give me a sense of humor Lord. Give me the grace to see a joke.
To get some humor out of life and pass it on to other folk.
I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

Want my help with a BTR or backout? All messages sent/posted should be in CHRONOLOGICAL order. Otherwise, I just won't read it.

1st. contact visa and tell them the entire story. tell them you want to dispute the charge.
contact ebay and file a claim with them against the seller. tell them you wnat to dispute the feedback and want a refund.
i'm not sure if the postal inspectors can help. call them, they are in the phone book in your area under government, federal. since it sounds like you got them via us mail, that could be fraud.. the items were misrepresented.
be glad you paid with a charge card and not paypal.
i won some BA death company with chaplain. i paid for insurance. i got the minis broken, without insurance and mising pieces. i filed a complaint with paypal and got a message 28 days after the fact saying i had 24 hours to submit faxes of professional evaluations of the items or quotes for repairs.
2 days later i got a response saying, that the seller didn't falsely advestise the items. and the case was closed with no way to appeal. they didn't want to see pictures or any evidence.

Just a note first:
I did start off asking where to do this type of thing.
I left out any reference to who I was talking about so that there wouldn't be any problems for the admins or mods.
I would gladly comply with any request that the admin staff had about any post I made.
Now, I've had great ebay experiences up to this time. It's really sad that folks can't do business in a simple and honest fashion.
I tried the Ebay complaint system, it's completely automated and convoluted and hard to get anything done so I gave up.
You guys are right in that 1 negative, especially from a seller, won't sink you in anyone's eyes. So I figure live-and-learn on this one.
Now Paypal is awesome if you buy the guarantee. I did that with a webstore that was selling some Ikore Armor wash and I never got it. Paypal refunded my purchase after only a few days of investigation.

Bartertown is not affiliated with eBay, Paypal or the like in any way. And don't forget, Bartertown is a place to trade at and not through. There is a difference. All users trade at their own risk just like any forum or site, which contains person-to-person or user-to-user transactions.
Any bad reports or feedbacks posted here on Bartertown are only limited to trades done on this site whichever the method.

Here's my two cents, and I'm sure no one wants it.
I get more eBay complaints than I get Bartertown complaints. It's actually a pretty rough place over there (but I may be biased).
I wish there was something we could do to help you, I think you've done all that you can for this, I really don't know what else you can do other than post questions on all of his auctions like "are you going to rip these people off like you ripped me off?" (I think questions posed by potential buyers are posted, aren't they?).
Ok, that's not very nice and you shouldn't do that but that was my random mean thought for the day.
