Figured I should start posting stuff again, tons of stuff finished but I'm still waiting on my lightbox so these will have to do for now.

Flyer: 6 points (medium right?)
10 Banshees: 10 points
4 Weapon Platforms: 8 points
2 Vypers: 6 points (3 each)? 10 points (5 each)? Not sure what they count as.

So either 30 or 34 points. More pictures later this weekend!

The Eldar I decided to make a unique theme. Their armour reflecting the colours of day in the galaxy. The planet they are on (or craftworld) also bounces the colours around. At first I thought it would be too much colour but I like it. The model is split into 4 "colours". Yellow, red, orange and purple. I first primed them black then hit them with a bone colour, then a full yellow. After that I hit the back with red, made sure it only hit the back and any part of the model that had surface area angled toward the back. Then I took the orange and hit it on the 45 towards the red. I made sure to also only hit it at a slight angle instead of straight on to give some contrast between the orange and yellow. Finally I hit the opposite side of the back with purple with the same angles in mind.

Gave it a very unique look. Also painted the bases as I was doing it so win all around!

Vehicles I just started with a yellow ball and moved outwards with the colours. Then I used a clothes pin with the airgun angled down and hit it with white, creating the fluster of stars you see on the Flyer and Viper. Gems I am working on getting a look I like but it is the normal 3 tone (dark base, middle 2/3 up and finally highlight 1/3 up) but then I hit it with a ghost tint by Minitaire (it's a candy paint). The look is nice but it's all about babysitting it so I am still working on perfecting it.

the weapon platforms are 1 point each, if they're the ones that attach to the Guardian units. The Vaul models, with the gunner sitting in them are more.
Dunno how much for the vypers..or where you got them. They still show being sold out.

Really? They are on terminator bases so figured terminator like points. But yes they are the guardian weapon platforms, guess it makes sense.

You have to look elsewhere for Vypers lol, I have another coming in the mail.

Cool stuff, I like the general color combo & fade to extreme dark/light on the tips. My only criticism is why no detail on the cockpits? I feel like a simple treatment of some sort would enhance the look and they're a touch unfinished feeling now.

Also, dammit, makes me wish I could use my airbrush to save my life.

Yeah I wasn't sure about the cockpits. I could probably hit them with the gold. Would let them stand out from the theme any way.

So I did up the cockpits with the gold - it looks good, gives it that extra little something. I can post pics of the Vypers and the Flyer if people need me to for points.

Got these guys done up, have some scorpions and a Farseer that needs a few details and I'll upload them also.

IDK, I had my thread o' stuff and it definitely felt weird to cross-post within the same subforum, so I had the decision to make of switching over to this one or keeping up the one I'd started... guess I could switch but I'd be a ton of projects behind at this point, so maybe next year? Feels a little weird to jump over in the middle of a year...

BTW, are those third-party bases? the size looks a little odd.

@Spiraling - They have 32mm ring adapters on them. So normal 25mm base with an mdf adapter ring to make them 32mm. Then normal flocking and items. I re-based the entire Eldar army to 32mm. Understandable about the two threads. Although if you did switch we could just tally up the points you have done this year from your thread and then carried over with posts here. Or just post in both! lol

Any who here are more pics! got some Scorpions done up after dinner. I have a Farseer looking for some love I will probably finish off tonight and then start on the Avatar dependent on time. I have a game tomorrow so won't be much time to work on models.

Thanks! I'm still getting better with it but man does it speed things up. It is worth the money for sure.

I'll be getting more pics done up this week once things are painted. I also changed my mind on my CSM (again). Now I am thinking a pure Slaanesh theme. I cannot seem to decide on what mark to give them. Nurgle gives them +1 T (so harder to kill) but their Icon sucks, Slaanesh gives +1 init (so hits first vs majority) and their Icon rocks. I want to be able to use them in HH though so I'll have to see what Emperors Children all get. Think thats the only Slaaneshy HH army.

One day I'll get around to doing them up LOL.

Well, mine are the same size, so either yours are less points or mine are more. Early on they had tripods and no bases. Next they had the anti-grav platforms and no bases. Then they came with 25mm bases. The new ones that have a model sitting on them are on the termie bases. The ones that come with the guardians are on 25mm..Unless they get changed to larger.


That brings up a question. I have old, metal,CSM termies on 25mm bases. How many points are they, if I ever get around to painting them?
Also, how many points for the new necrons on the new bigger bases?
