The colour scheme of Nomads but I do not recognize them, what army are they from?

Great job painting though!

Sorry, I think some word's missing from that?

So... as best as I can respond, those are the operation icestorm minis that'll be part of the new nomad core box - those are the new alguacils and brigada, and the scheme is just my variant

You answered correctly lol.

Came in to say "Wow! Really amazing painting. Super impressed. You have a ton of talent."

Incidentally, this allows me to tag the thread to see future pics.

Hi, thanks! Been a while since I posted... life getting in the way, and all that noise.

Wow. The weathering powders do a surprising amount there. I'm assuming the same effect from merely paint would be significantly more time consuming?

Re: weathering powders, actually, not so much- using a sponge to stipple (sp?) isn't too bad, and what I'd probably have done w/o weathering powders would be a mix of that and a couple washes. The big things the powders add (in my limited experience) over washing and stippling are really strong concentrations of pigment (like the red on the big guy's spear and helmet) and building up texture (probably most obvious on the banners and the big guy's shoulders).

It was a bit more of an experiment than a necessity. I think the rust isn't all that much of an improvement over paint (which I'm more familiar with), but the clumpy dirt thing is pretty useful as a new tool.

...but I've worked with the powders for a couple hours total now, so that's really just a first impression.

Thanks! Yeah, Salamanders are a ton of fun, and FW really elevated a kind of silly theme.
