Two pieces. Twelve points each.
That's 24 points.
The first one is done and on the shelf. The second is still waiting for the wash to dry in the recessed areas, but is done.
There are a couple more FW boards to finish (not worth points, though, as they're "just" terrain), and I can hopefully get a pic of these side-by-side, in action.

Holy crap.
You did all that THIS YEAR?
Dang.

Eric
To be 100% transparent, I started the models late last year...but finished them by working on them most evenings this year. So i don't know if we want to pro-rate them at half value as they were 1/2 done before Christmas. They took most of my painting life this year and am super happy to have them off the table. I "completed" all of the models this year, but definitely started last year...take that for what you will. I didn't realize how many points it was until I added them all up...and while the scores dont matter I dont want to give a false impression of the ground I made this year. I am super happy they are done as I find finishing these very challenging, but am more than happy to pro-rate the accomplishment based on the work started in 2014.

Point total updated for everyone! nice job guys. I wish I still had my epic armies...

As long as 60% of the work was done this year, they're good for the challenge.

Sounds good...most of the work was done this year, so I think I am good.

I have an epic squat army as well...not sure I can do another epic army this year but I would love to get them done too...

Is a Leman Russ a smallish or Large vehicle?
It's the difference between 5 and 8 points.

The next model for my Genestealer Cult: a misappropriated Leman Russ.

I believe the Leman Russ is closer to a land raider than a rhino in size right? I'd call it 8 points.

Points added for Skuller and MM.

Frankly, it's kind of in between. The footprint is about the same as a Rhino, but it's taller and has the turret.
Definitely smaller than a LRaider, though.
I almost think it would be a "medium" vehicle, if there was such a thing.

P.S. Airbrush and supplies have started arriving. Heads up, boys (and girls?)!

Ok, house is done so back to the painting station. I've completed the starter set for the Asterian in deadzone. That's 12 dudes plus 2 weapon platform for a total 16 points.

@MM. I think if it's bigger than a category, it should move down to the next bracket so in this case bigger than the 5 points model into the 8 points.

Let me know if his makes sense or not.

Aha!

I have been practicing with the airbrush my wife got me for xmas and am comfortable enough to actually paint minis (it's been test minis, paper, anything I can paint without caring, etc, so far). That and I finished renovating the bathroom so I have more free time.

I should be able to get a lot more done faster (that and I have to catch up back into first place again)!

Are they based on the new 32mm bases? I was debating on putting all my marines on 32mm.

I heard all the new marines have them, is that true (like tac marines and stuff too)?
