Jason, are the dreadds and nid painted with 'latex' paint? I've used a professional 'latex' paint, Liquitex brand specificly, as a primer and base coat. It has a similiar look as those models.

Yes. I use Rust-Oleum. Only cans I can find in a shade close enough to what I like.

1st up, 1 stray Night Goblin I got years ago when GW gave out free minis in White Dwarf. It had a free Dwarf model also. Both were the beginnings of the new, mono-pose line they came in the starter sets. He was a test to see how hard it is to paint NG's, since I'll probably have a couple hundred to paint.
1 model. 1 point.

Next, 15 Orc Boyz from the battleion box. They were supposed to have shields, Then I realized I'd better make sure they fit in formation....now, the shields don't fit.

15 models. 15 points.

16 points total.

So here what I've been up to. I was waiting to comlete the faction before posting but it seems to be getting pushed back so here's what I have for my Rebel faction for deadzone

Image
7 points

And I got my mars attack kickstarter and I've just finished painting my first martian squad

Here they are before I glued their helmets

Image

And here with their helmets. I wasn't sure if the picture would be good with the plastic dome but I think it looks fine

Image
10 points for the martian

So 17 points added.

Cool on those Mars Attacks guys- I have to admit, I was scared off by those domes... glad to see how they work. I assume those were after varnishing?
True, we love life, not because we are used to living but because we are used to loving. There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness.

I expect honesty about models' conditions, thank you.

If I don't respond in a day or two, please check back, I've forgotten-sorry.

@skuller, 5 points added and cool corroded effect.

@spiralingcadaver, The helmets aren't a perfect fit and I did a bit of trimming on them but they work fine. I did varnish the whole model before gluing the helmet with regular white glue to avoid the frosted look from the fumes of the superglue.

Super glue? I use plastic glue; either testors model cement or GW's plastic glue.
