Dude, seriously.
Just get stuck in.

Re: Question about Odd Tools
I have a dremel and a pin vise, but i actually most often reach for the 18v cordless drill when it comes to drilling, super easy to change bits. If you already have a drill give it a shot. Not saying that dremels and pinvices dont have their uses, but my drill works great for me.(granted i was a cabinetmaker so pretty good control)
I bought bits on ebay 10 of each size(5 sizes .5mm,.6mm,.7mm,.8mm,.9mm,1.0mm) for around $26 shipped on ebay.

I'd end up drilling through my hand, the table then the wall before I managed to let go of the trigger.
I would miss the model entirely.

You aren't that lucky. You would go through the model's face first, then you hand, then the table, then the wall and then the neighbor's dog who happens to be walking byMagickalMemories wrote:I'd end up drilling through my hand, the table then the wall before I managed to let go of the trigger.

Green stuff aka Kneadatite
Theres 2 type of Kneadatite i use for sculpting. Green is more flexible and less rigid than brown stuff, and cheaper than brown. Try to buy the green in 2 sepereate pieces than the stuff in the single blue/yellow ribbon as it tends to cure where the seam meets

No. Definitely not.JohnBlackhawk wrote:Hmm now i use a small blob of this stuff in between the joints of what ever figure im putting together to hold things in place while the glue dries? In particular between the waist and chest, also the neck and head?
Glue your piece (preferably pinning it, if it's metal) then, once the glue has dried, use a VERY small amount of this in the visible gap/line to make the 2 pieces look like one.
Alternatively, you can use it to sculpt on new details (hair, armor, etc).
