Skis

Post by optimusprime14 »

So I'm working on a new SM army and any doing a whole snow themed army. I'm trying to find something that I could replace the fron wheel on a SM bike that would look like a snowmobile ski. I haven't been able to find anything and thought I would turn to Btown. Any ideas?

If I were the kind of person to condone illegal activity, I'd suggest that you find a ski whose dimensions you like, alter is as necessary for your needs, and make resin copies of it. As I am NOT the kind of person who would condone illegal copying, I'll say that you should find something cheap that has dimensions you can live with and but a lot of copies of it, altering each individual ski as needed.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

You can make your own with greenstuff then make a copy with that instant moldmaker stuff and make greenstuff push molds.

Something like this...

you will need a little adapter to make the height correct.

Dude, you just sent me on a super-nostalgia trip. Reminded me of these guys:

I expect honesty about models' conditions, thank you.

If I don't respond in a day or two, please check back, I've forgotten-sorry.

I was thinking of sculpting my own and casting it but so such a simple design I didn't want to go through that effort. The lego skiis may work... maybe a trip to my local lego store is in order.

Thanks MM et al!
