Lengthy Ads.....

Post by jagavahn »

I recently posted(am posting) an ad with a ton of stuff. I don't like leaving one long ad as I find them difficult to read. What's the best way to list a bunch of stuff.

I had initially responded to my own ad with a new post for each army, but after reading the forum rules thought it would be considered a bump.

Any suggestions on how to leave an ad with many things and keep it legible
If I owe you a reference, please let me know. I accidentally deleted my PMs.

One long one is your best bet. Label the areas of items and people can skim to what they are interested in.

Utilize the bold and underline features of the forums to better categorize your ad.

You can also use the list functions.

Here is an example of a categorized ad:

Categorized Ad
mon·ey: noun; a good that acts as a medium of exchange in transactions.
Money is a good like everything else; if your rating is lower, you ship first whether money is involved or not.

yes like sid says, use the bold function and also chankge font size a little like for wants and haves helps with conjunction of bold.

then categorize your figs and use those categories in bold so people can skim through it.

also if your especially wanting specifics off your list first, make that part of the title. and sam with getting rid uf stuff. otherwise priorotize your sales/trades

hey sid, i have seen some people put a line through some stuff, how do you do that?

Like this!

Command is between URL and Dice, "s-text-/s" in proper brackets

or use the 's' button between URL and Dice. It stands for 'strike through' I assume.

You actually can't bump your ad anymore, we should take that out of the rules.

PLEASE DO:
Update/edit your ad
Reply to your own ad with new information

PLEASE DON'T:
Delete your ad and post a new one (or the mods will beat you).

I've got something in the works (eerie sound) which I'm going to deploy tonight, it should help some of the clutter.

Well IMO this list should be a great example. It couldnt be more informal than this. Consider adding photographs for all the items you are selling directly to your list. This will reduce your work later on and help prevent a lot of questions. Unfortunatly, even with giant text, some people send me bogus and useless offers weekly. :( This includes people trying to buy my want list...

Ah yes, the "I want to buy your want list"

I sold my last want list for $50... it was great, though I don't know why the guy wanted to buy a list of models I wanted?
