Just a idea.
Why not start a "Mega cheap Christmas" thread sticky in each section of trading. This would have a set guideline of 75% off retail for items and people could just add to the thread with their "posts" (being their own topics).
I think this is a great way for people to find bulk deals on really cheap stuff from people wanting to offload and help others get Christmas a little easier for the holidays.
Thoughts?

My offers will be in my favor, as I am trying to get a deal. I don't think a lot of people understand this site so I will say how I feel about it myself. If I make a offer, and you don't counter offer, you are not Bartering.
I also have a retailer that gives me 35% off at all times. If you are trying to sell me used, please do so at at least 50% off.

Re: Just a idea.
I agree, a thread for cheap stuff (around the holidays, or in general) could be nice.

We try to use sticky posts as little as possible in the trade threads.
Better off that, If you've got something you're offering at a huge discount, put the discount % in your subject line. You'll get hits.

Especially if you are thinking of 75-80% discounts. I may just have to do that for the holiday season...

Re: Just a idea.
I do like the idea of one big megathread though--and a sticky won't be necessary if it's active.
Just make sure that the firs thread advises sellers to update their original posts as things are sold. Also--there should be no comments/questions in the thread, in the interest of clarity--IMO.

Re: Just a idea.
We could have a mod in control of the thread being the main poster. People who list their items could be monotored by who ever gets the thread and if their post hasn't been active (they can show they still have the items by clicking edit then save, which will show the date they did). If their post goes over a week, axe um.
I do understand what some of you are saying about not wanting to have as many stickies as possible or that they could just throw the precent on there and it goes fast, but I was talking about bunching them out of convience to the community. It is far easier to click on the MEGA CHEAP THREAD 75% OFF then going through every single thread.... Just a idea, and trying to help BT a little for what it's done for me!\
Let me know if you all need anything else from me with this idea.

Re: Just a idea.
Who posts stuff at 75% - 80% off?! It would have to essentially be garbage for me to sell it that cheap. i.e. my fat uncle sat on this regiment of dipped Empire Swordsman!
I mean c'mon, this just looks like someone wanting to make a thread to coerce people to post things ultra cheap so they can get extra visibility while the idea man can rake in dirt cheap minis.
Call me cynical.

Re: Just a idea.
If you're saying some one can call you cynical then you most likly already understand you are being a little over the top.
I could list 3 post right now (that are all pretty far apart) where people are listing things at around 65-70 precent off. I have 4 armies with every unit to each, so I don't need anything if you are implying that I am trying to do this for my own gain.
And yeah, some of the models that people would want to get rid of would most likly have seen better days, but all of us know how to clean them up. I think it's a great idea for veteran gamers to accomplish several things. 1) They get models at a really cheap price with out having to dig all through the site 2) Whom ever sells these items will have more cash for the holidays so they can buy their loved ones more things 3) Gamers could buy your "junk" as you call it and repair/recycle the models so they can see service again.
Rouge Trader (while having some bad members I admit) did this practice for a LONG time and it was incredible. They even went so far as to have a guy who had a VERY large collection of minies and you could trade/buy them a great prices. I bought my cousin a CSM army, which was about 50% OOP, for a very cheap price and he was thrilled.

Not to be a stickler, but your post doesn't say anything about 75% off. It says "YOU MUST MAKE ME OFFERS," but it doesn't say anything about you accepting at least 75% off.theblessing8386 wrote: And I do have a large inventory up there for 75%.

You are being a stickler....... I let the wood elves go for 65 bucks.
Make a offer means LESS then a set amount as they can go lower, which I did most of them as such. CHEAP means, well cheap!
