Waiting on the Necrons

I started Necrons about a year ago and because they were rumored (as always) to get a release shortly I only bought the plastic stuff and the HQs.
Now I've got a lot of store credit from a recent trade at a not too distant gaming store.

I'm having such a hard time saving the store credit for the potential release later this year or next.

Any one else dying for the Necrons to be confirmed?

I'm dreaming of all the things I could have in the meantime with my credit ><

I feel bad for all the people I know that think necrons are cool but have a crappy codex backing up models they like.

As for me, the models seem to lack detail so I don't think I'll bother.

Oh, God, I feel your pain.
I was sitting on a crapload of credit in wait for the DE to finally be released. I'd always been curious about them, but I hated the models. It almost killed me. LOL

IIRC the rumors (which, usually, aren't too bad), Necrons are later this year. After GK's. Aren't they?

Yea, Rumor has it they are in October, another rumor was that they might be delayed tho.

I've read that we're getting alot of plastic which makes me super excited since I have avoided all the Necron metal since it's god awful to assemble.

My biggest question is what "Big" nastiness are they going to make for them? A super scarab or something?

And I hope they redo the plastic warriors. They're nice, but so... plain. So much potential with plastic tech nowadays.

Something that is being referenced as the Necromancer is rumored and it was earlier called the "Bone Giant".

I'm actually praying they don't redo warriors or destroyers, I already have about 90 warriors and 10 destroyers. I'd cry if I had to start over from square one because the new stuff was too shiny.

Yeah but, if you keep up with the GW rumor-mongers, there's inevitably a circle of life, so-to-speak.

1) Rumor-mongers post reputed release date.
2) Someone posts that their "contact" said that Army X might just be delayed.
3) Rumor-mongers continue spewing army details.
4) Army is released on or near the initially stated release period.

Not to be labeled a rumor-monger... lol, but the local GW suspects that Necrons could be released as early as June. There's been no discussion down there as for delays on the 'Crons, but if the rumor-mill is reliable (for a change) then it would be interesting for Necrons to be released in June, just in time for the rumored "Summer of Flyers". Maybe the Necrons will get the "Warbarque" that was concept-arted during the 'most recent' release of them.

Honestly I'm looking to get rid of my Necrons... they were fun, but I'm one of those (or was) Necron players that a C'tan or multiple 'Liths didn't show up til the game was over 2000pts... needless to say my opponents were surprised and saddened... but they've lost their appeal. Necrons are conversion-fodder for me unless the new release brings out something supremely amazing.
