Looking at the picture the OP posted, the models will likely not be all that different. Thats ok though, I rather liked the older models and thought most of them looked cool (a few exceptions of course).
Yes, a lot of old timers really liked the models and the army concept but just never got around to them or dropped the idea of building armies when they saw how neglected they were going to be. A lot of those will be buying up "new" armies of the dark eldar. The bandwagon people will be the newer players who never saw them before or only heard about them from the old timers or who see powerful combos and one trick ponies they can come up with and buy them for those reasons.

Edit, after going to check out the warseer thread, I figured I would run my thoughts by you here on what I see so far....
1. The models carry the same "feel" and are VERY similar to the originals just better done like they put more work into them (they have certainly had enough time to work on them). I like this. Not only because it helps old timers keep using theirs, but also because I liked the look.

2. Poisened. I kind of like this from a guard standpoint. Chances are, an eldar would need a 4 to wound me anyway. So it is like they are paying extra points to wound me on a roll they would need to roll anyway. It seems the poisened "lite" weapons would scare me more if they have a strength value but get to reroll (or however that works).

3. Assault heavy weapons. I dont like this any more then I did with the orks. To me, the only assault heavy weapons should be like the ones on terminaters and such. The ponderous stable platforms. I believe that if you want your heavy weapons to fire on the move, make them rapid fire. That would actually make sense. Look at their splinter rifles, they are much smaller and mobile and they are rapid fire while the huge bulky heavy weapons are assault. Just does not make a lot of sense to me and causes a bit of unbalence. At least with the orks, this is balanced by them being "orrible shots". Give them the higher BS of an eldar and it gets out of control. Just my opinion of course.

And again, I am GLAD to see them coming out and will have to go to the local shop more often in hopes of getting to face them and check them out. Course, Ida rather seen squats.

No problem, I added in the extras that I found at Warseer that wasnt in the newsletter.
The cover doesnt really do a lot for me but I am thrilled to see Blanche contributing (can you tell I'm an old timer lol)
I REALLY liked the early warrior sculpt and wish they had gone in that direction with them. I like it better then the official release pic.
I like the incubi models. Much cooler and with more personality then the earlier ones and I like the big swords better then the earlier polearms. Still close enough that older models will still work which is good. Thumbs up.
The archon looks really nice (kinda like a cross between chaos and LotR evil dudes. Actually looks nice and fitting as an overlord type guy. Thumbs up
I take it Lelith is a special character wych? Looking at her, thats what I am assuming. Very nice and dynamic.
I am kinda disappointed in the "reguler" wyches though. I like the idea of them being the non armored gladiator types. That one looks too bulky and heavily armored to me. Fitting if the new rules have them armored but that helmet just looks off to me. Am I alone in this?
Jetbikes look much as before but more dynamic. A thumbs up from me.
Also like the raider. Not different enough to lose the imagery but updated to be a lil more stylish. Kinda like the jetbikes. Another thumbs up.

Not sure, It was listed as being new Blanche art on warseer so I cant vouch for if it is truly "new" or reused. All I know for sure is it was listed as new. It was in the compilation thread and the poster is pretty honest so I took him at his word.
If he was wrong, then I am wrong and I apologize if thats the case.

I like the new vehicles, but I liked the old versions as well. The Warrior model is nice, but I don't care for any of the others. I was thinking of starting a new army with these guys but I will have to see them in person before commiting to that. Hopefully some of the locals will go crazy and buy a bunch so on the random chance I wander into the LGS I can see the new shiny toys.

Now on to the waiting for new Sisters of Battle and Grey Knights! Huzzah!
