Grr! Argh!

Post by Imaginos »

I've been doing a lot of trading, getting out of 40k. I now have only a few models left. Yay, go me! So I've gotten heavily into Warmachine and Hordes. So why oh why do I keep looking at 40K and WHFB considering building armies again, even to the point of trading off some of my WM/H stuff?!?! I should put in the twisted wish that I would be satisfied with the models I have.

So let's say Eldar - is it possible to do an army without the goofy egghead helms? At least on the guardians?

Not unless you want to go through the hassle of finding enough non-helmeted heads.

Now stop this nonsense! Go back to PrivateerPress.com and look at all the pretty WM/H models.

I have three words for you:

Malifaux.
Go.
Lower rating? You ship first.

That is 2.. not 3. Although it IS 4 sylabubbles. Still not 3.

ON topic, I like the look of Malifaux figs, and the buy in is low, but, have no experience with em.

Of course, Creeper, evidently the Dark Eldar are getting a redo at the end of the summer.. total range revamp.. (look.. pretty pretty candy!)
2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

I was actually thinking Buffy the Vampire Slayer when I wrote the title. Not for any real reason though.

Okay, so not possible to do Eldar without helmets without a lot of effort. Okay. Hmmm. I'm also wondering if I should dive back into Space Marines and go Blood Angels. Or, wait until the Dark Eldar are released.

Or maybe just jump into WHFB with the 8th edition box for the high elves.

Actually I would say WoC is proabably the cheapest dollarwise army that you can get. It also has all those pretty pretty new models.
OK would be second cheapest. However you are going to have to wait a bit for the new book.

I do not know if waiting for the new box set is a good idea. I heard you may possibly be getting a few bigger things like a Lord on a Griffin, and one squad of Spearmen in the set for HE, and one squad of clanrats or stormvermin and a Bell for Skaven. It is ok if you have both Skaven and HE but not so good if you have just one of the armies. This layout makes it great for newbs but not so good for veterans just adding stuff to their exsisting armies, and not so good for multiple buys. I hope the report I heard is wrong. It would be awesome if they had a few squads of troops for each side instead of the big lord choices.

I personally am really looking forward to the new set as I need more troops for both my Skaven and HE.
