I'd totally support this if, as previously mentioned, there was a certain level of requirements for the description- the "Check out all my ebay stuff!" posts are no good!
Would it be possible to remove the 7-day listing limitations, and just prevent duplicate postings from going up? That way, each time you have a new posting, it could go under a new topic, which should allow people to avoid posting the catch-all topics.
Do I owe you a trade ref? Remind me- sometimes I forget!

If you don't have your Location listed, take a second and update it!

-I respond within 48 hours unless utterly incapable. Please do the same. Any offer I make stands for that long as well.
-Lower rating? You ship/pay first. Same goes for me.

'How Much for...?' messages will no longer be replied to at all. I've been nice about it, now I'm done.

Nope. Not for those specifications. Those are a kind of "all or nothing" deal. Either the whole forum follows ONE rule to THE OTHER.

I agree with your opinion re: correct titling. I think we're going to start enforcing that more actively soon (in all forums).

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

I like the idea of moving all the auctions to one forum.

One forum sounds good to me too.

I agree correct titling helps immensely, the problem is that the title line is severely character limited. If I have a lot of stuff to sell, by the time I've listed them in archaic shorthand, there is no room to be specific in my wants.

It'd be great if there was a way to lengthen it.

I think, unless I'm sorely mistaken, this issue in particular is refering to Ebay, etc., where you auction for money.
In a broader sense, I tend to agree that it can be limiting, but I think you might also be better served by switching up or focusing on specific parts of your Haves list every once in a while, it might draw more attention :)

The part I highlighted in red is excellent advice. When I have a large list of things that cross several forums I usually highlight the haves and/or wants that relate to that specific forum in my title. So I might have, let's say, Skaven, Space Marines, Tyranids, Cygnar, FoW Germans, and Infinity Nomads. If I'm posting in the 40K forum and I lack for space I'll put that I have Space Marines, Nids and Misc. in my title so that I focus on the items that are specific to that forum while letting people know there's other stuff in there. I find it generates more page views than trying to write everything in weird abbreviations that no one understands.

Actually, it's both.
We need better titling to be utilized all around. ALL will begin to be more enforced.
In this specific thread, though, I'm only referring to Auctions.
