It's been a lot quicker for me today, no more getting kicked off and things are loading quickly again for me.

If you don't have your Location listed in your User Control Panel, why not take a second and update it? It will let your trading partners know where you are from the beginning.

Have you read the site rules? viewtopic.php?f=44&t=45470 If not do so.

Much faster & FAR more reliable for me, boss.

Of course, PMs were the worst offender for me, and I haven't tried them, yet.

The site in general seems ok to me. However, everytime I do anything in my message boxes I get super slow loading and this message:

This webpage is not available.

The webpage at ucp.php?i=pm&mode=compose&action=reply&f=0&p=1756233 might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

It's still on and off for me. Multiple windows almost guarantees a time-out.

Same for me. I'd say it's running about 75% normal but the speed has been way down over the last few weeks. Today it is timing out while trying to send PMs. Here's something I learned the dars way the last time we were having troubles.

Whenever you are sending a PM to somebody rightclick and COPY the text before you hit send. That way of you timeout and thus lose the post you can just reload and paste your message into the text box and try again without having to retype the whole thing.

Not only whn you send a PM< but when you reply to a topic, especailly if it's a long winded, multi-part post.

Whew. ;-)

I am having a swift load time and no issues within the forums.
Attempting to read PM's is difficult. Responding is non-existant.

... +1 to have the same pm and inbox problems Eric!

Then, to a lesser degree, just getting from page to page is an issue.

I have started copying what I write, leaving it on the e-clipboard and then crossing my fingers in the hopes it arrives. Then I go back and see it hasn't made it, only to have to wash, rinse and repeat ALWAYS REPEAT!!!!

Please try to leave a ref for each transaction. I always will. It tells myself and others what kind of trade partner I am!

I'm with osloco on speed. Messages are terribly slow, but the main site works fairly well. I haven't had a message send on the first try in several weeks. But it always works on the second try.

Let me also say, OFFICIALLY, guys...
I know it sucks for the site to have these problesm. Especially for such an ongoing time period.
(Remember... *I* am the post whore!!!)
We appreciate the fact that nobody's gotten out the pitchforks and torches yet.

Rest assured that Adam *IS* working on it as his schedule allows.
By that I mean that he's extraordinarily busy, but is making time REGULARLY to come and work on it bits at a time. He IS making an effort.

Thanks, guys.

Main site forums fine for me.. leaving a Reference is slow.. PMs are very slow.. even from a PC at the local library or elsewhere. From my house with my generationally challenged home PC.. it is REALLY slow.

Gotten better of late..
2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

If you don't have your Location listed in your User Control Panel, why not take a second and update it? It will let your trading partners know where you are from the beginning.

I use the Unofficial Porkuslime Trading Guidelines - if you have way less refs.. you ship first.

Folks I am awaiting a ref from.. Zack

I have been having problems with the PMs also, but today it seems to be working very fast. This morning I have been reading posts, reading and sending PMs, checking refs and using BT in multiple tabs. So far everything has been working and with ok speed. Thanks TMA!!!

George

Edit - Even this posting when through very fast.

It's hit and miss for me. The pm's is still mostly fu.

i just hadto write one 3x before it finally went.

it seems to have to do with traffic and how busy the network is.

if i'm doing nothing else online, i have no problems.

that's how the net used t0 be back in say 1998.
