Amadeuskurz - Bad trader

Post by DFMalivek »

I entered a trade with thomas on the 8th of september for some of my orcs for his Gladeguard. It's been a complete month since he said he shipped with no response since the 24th of September. Logged in and got the messages(they disappeared from my outbox) at least. Last login was Oct. 1st. The last two messages are still in my outbox since they were sent after his last login.

Between my inexperience shipping to canada and The general lack of brainpower at my local post office I shipped the package wrong. Was told that it was trackable when it wasn't.

.Not really expecting results(other than "your a idiot", which i fully admit) but to put the info out there to hopefully prevent anyone else from losing stuff.

48 Chaos warriors, armed equally in 16 w/handweapons & shields, halberds, great weapons, full command each
2 sorcerors, 1 Tzeetchian bird boy, 1 unaligned with staff and book
1 original mounted Archaon
1 Sorceror Lord on Disc
1 6th Ed Daemon Prince w/wings
2 Fomorian demons from Confrontation
6 Flamers of Tzeetch (partially assembled)
+many different arm bits and pieces

they could stand a stripping and repaint

Empire

10 Teutogen Guard
1 Mounted Priest of Ulric

Wood Elves

40 Glade Guard (20 old, the rest current ed)
10 Dryads
8 Glade Riders
2 Spellsingers

Looking For:

40k Orks, mostly the Black Reach guys, ork boyz always welcome, but like the BR guys...make me an offer.

I've got some black reach Nobs(6) 5 of em primed black with a little green basecoat, and a couple boxes of old orks(3rd edition stuff). Stikbommaz and regular boyz NOS(and in the box).

I Can also round up a bunch more 40k ork bodies and stickbommz i had converted over to fantasy(cut off ammo drums on pouches etc) if your interested, i could take pics.

Would be interested in the glade guard models(If they are all plastic, don't care if they are new or older editions, i just need plastic for conversions).

Lemme know
Thanks
Joe.

They are all plastic; 2/3 are new edition, the rest are the old guys standing with bows. There are about 50 of them. I'll throw in bitz for you if you're doing conversions.

Ok, I got a better total of whats laying around. I'll take pictures of stuff tonight if needed, just let me know what you want to see, and i'll take pics.

So far I have;

1 box ork stikbommaz(all 12 NOS) minus 6 of the 12 shootas(the drum barrel ones) i used for my Iron warriors. 3rd edition plastic

6 AOBR Nobz(one NOS still grey) 3 primed Black(partially assembled, complete), 2 primed, w/orkhide shade on skin(partially assembled, complete)

1 AOBR Big shoota complete (Assembled)

12 Orc boyz NOS(not a complete box of 16, I assembled 4) (sprues 100% intact, no cutoffs) 3rd edition plastics

This next section is 40K models are models i started converting over to Fantasy O&G.

4 assembled ork boyz (1 Choppa arm, 1 stikkbommz metal arm)

4 40k Orks (assembled without arms)(these are the 4 from the box set above i think, it's been a while)

3 orks Painted(not sealed) with slugga/shoota's cut from hand.
1 w/ Choppa, 1 w/stickbomb metal arm, 1 w/open hand

14 AOBR Orks W/choppas, Guns cut off the hand(hand intact, just sliced the gun away with a blade.

4 AOBR Orks W/O Weapons(Had chainswords, cut the chainsword off at the base of the hand) Have all 4 chainswords, could actually be pinned back on.
Guns sliced off hands as well.

3 Assembled AOBR Nobz W/choppas(1 has the power wires sliced off the axe making it look like a normal Big axe) Guns again cut away. Not primed.

2 AOBR Nobz W/Chain axes, axe heads cut off(Have them, will include) Again, able to be pinned back together. Guns cut away.

1 AOBR Warboss. Slightly modified. I Cut the cabling away from his powerclaw, and did slight cutting to his metal eye to look more basic. Also cut gun handles and triggers off his backpack guns. Cut his shoota off the hand as well(I Have most of it, from the back of the clip on forwards is salvageable)

Sounds fine. If you could give me a confirmation # when you ship, I'll start shipping the guys out.

Pictures of what you'll be recieving:

I'll definetly send priority with DC#, but you have no feedback to my meager feedback.

Standard practice is lowest feedback ships first.

I don't feel comfortable sending first, even with cruddy AOBR stuff. I'm willing to ship out as soon as you ship, I won't wait till reciept(altho that's a common practice as well).

If this is unacceptable to you, i say we call the deal off.

Thanks,
Joe

No big deal; I don't mind. I'll try to get a tracking number, but Canada Post doesn't give you one unless you ship airmail (I usually ship ground). Where am I sending it to?

K, boxed up and ready to ship.

USPS website says priority international shipping takes 6-10 days from date of shipping.

Okay Joe; the woodies are winging their way to you. Canada Post says it will take 8-10 business days. I packed all of the glade guard and dryad bits I had lying around. Happy modelling man.

Did you get a custom's # for it? The lady(i use the term loosely) i dealt with at the post office today trying to get this box out was even more worthless than usual. I have to go back in the morning and deal with someone who's not stupid. My first time shipping to canada, and she had less of a clue than i did on what i had to do...

No worries...Canada Post uses the same software online as they do at the office, so there's not much to know, really; I think we get off light on that one.

There should be a # on that somewhere.

Did you have to fill out a custom's form? If so, thats the number that your looking for. Mine was a little green tag that they fixed to the box. It had the # on the reciept that they printed tho.

Any luck with that reciept?

Starting to feel not good about this. It's been 3 weeks of business days(not including saturdays) since the 8th when you said it was shipped. Still have not recieved the package, or some form of Tracking #/Reciept.

Please get back to me,

Anything?

Still waiting on the package you send almost a month ago, or some contact from you regarding the reciept/tracking number.
It's obvious that you've gotten these messages, and have not responded.

1) Shipping between Canada the US can be atrocious, at best. A month is not uncommon. Fortune might still be on your side.

1. I understand that, i do. It's the silence about the whole thing thats getting me buggy. the I'll see what i can do, /crickets/crickets. Even a "sorry mate, nothing i can do on this end, it seems to be lost" would be better than nothing since the 24th of september.

2. While i would like to say yes, the question mark is because I'm unsure about it. I could wait another month or three(not exactly like $50 in orcs is the end of the world), and post it then and be 100% sure. What happens if he shows up in a few weeks with a different username and pulls this again(again, IF he's pulling anything.) New user, Zero feedback, vague shipping info, and stopped communcation when asked about shipping(then quit logging on a week later). If you mods don't think it's valid, I got no problem with it being pulled.

It looks like a valid report.
No ommissions were glaring at me.

I can't say you jumped the gun, really, either.

I asked "2" because, if your answer is no, this thread needs to be pulled. Only bad trades go in this section. if your answer if yes, then I need to edit your title to remove the question mark.
Hope that helps.

Do you still have the green customs slip with the barcode on it? That does allow for a limited bit of tracking via the 13 digit number on there. (Ends in "US")

Out of curiosity, why did you ship first? You've got more refs, and a stronger presence here. While a smaller trader might still be trustworthy, swapping first with a zero ref trader is generally a risky business.

No it doesn't. I still have the slip, and the #. Due to listening to the lady at the post office, i shipped first class international, which despite her claim ISN'T trackable with the Customs #. Now i know if i ever ship to canada again not to listen to them and only ship priority.

If shipped by USPS the customs number is trackable up to the point it enters Canadian customs. The only way to track cross-borders is registered mail.

FWIW, you might be able to get status on the customs number from Canada Post.

The last package I shipped to Canada went International priority mail. I used the white customs form instead of the green one. It tracked all the way to delivery.

Weird. Last time I sent to Canada it only tracked up to the point it entered Canadian customs, and I used the white form.
