Wedding Cake Topper

This was an outstanding project that I received: Convert and paint wedding cake toppers.

The bride was to be a zombie, and the groom comes from the other end of the post apocalypse spectrum. Altogether, this project was one of the most interesting I've had to date.









For reference, the base cake topper looked like this:

Years ago I was commissioned to sculpt a Frankenstein & Bride of Frankenstein cake topper. Some couples do have senses of humor.

Really, these two made me wish that I'd have thought of it when I got married.

I have some friends who used warmachine minis as their cake toppers (he converted the Butcher to hold flowers instead of his ax). So it seems there are a number of people who have better sense than I did. Oh well, at least I get to make cool stuff for someone's wedding.

That's pretty sweet. I did manage to convince my wife to allow me a certain amount of nerdery -- we cut the cake with a miniature copy of Anduril. Albeit the cake server did have Hello Kitty on it...
