Lost Closet AKA Daniel Clark didn't send items no contact.
On March 13, 2009: I agreed to a trade with Lost Closet, we negotiated a fair trade (listed below) and I sent the miniatures wrapped in newspaper, packed with styrofoam peanuts in a UPS box. I then provided a Tracking number to Daniel Clark AKA Lost Closet. The items were delivered to Lost Closet the following Wednesday, I sent a follow up message to make sure everything arrived properly. After not hearing from him for several days I called the cell phone number he provided, he said he was out of town but would ship the items he had with him since he had verification from the tracking number. Finally on March 30 he sent and email saying the items arrived damaged. I responded that if he was unhappy he could send them back to me with a tracking number or if he didn't want to do that to sent the items we agreed upon with a tracking number. He hasn't responded, so I contacted Linrandir and asked what to do, he told me to check the forums to see if there have been any other posts against Lost Closet and to ask for pictures of the "damaged" items. I have not received any contact from Lost Closet AKA Daniel Clark since the 30th of March and he is no longer answering phone calls nor returning messages. What do I do now? How do you file a mail fraud claim?
After searching the forums it seems he has ripped other people off. I'm new to Bartertown and traded the other half of my stuff with no problems. I have the UPS receipt and pictures of the stuff I traded along with records through bartertown and gmail. Being ripped off has left a bitter taste in my mouth, and I'm appalled that someone would take advantage of such a great site.
Buyer Beware, Lost Closet doesn't send trade items.

Well all the feedback was quite a while ago, But given the fact that you are a new trader and all that,
as you can see from my feedback that even with slight hiccups from when I was always out of town and busy with my wifes pregnancies,
but i aready set the books ect off to the side so they would be ready to ship the day of, I am just more hesitant since you are new trader, I am sure you understand,
If you wanted to ship the displaybase and units on it, and hold onto the extra until you receive all of my half I would be fine with that to,
If you would like to give me a call if there were any issues my number is [edited by Magickalmemories],

Re: Lost Closet AKA Daniel Clark didn't send items no contact.
LostCloset has had issues before. If you look up the complaints on him, he stated that it was a local kid who he allowed to use his computer for "homework." Apparently, the kid was doing a different kind of work.
He DID make amends on the other BTR's. I will PM him.
As for editing - Only staff can edit posts in this forum.
I have edited out the phone number. We really don't like to have those posted. it's a bit more intrusive, potentially.
The address, however, is acceptable to post in a BTR. It needs to remain.

Sorry about posting the phone number, I thought everything should be shared. So if he doesn't make amends, then it's a matter of filing mail fraud charges against him correct?

A few questions:
1) When was the last PM you sent him?
2) Are any of the PM's still in your OUTBOX (which means they haven't been read yet)?
2a) Please list the dates of any PMs still in your outbox.

Yes,
I spoke with him prior to sending the items, then I spoke with him after UPS confirmed delivery of the itmes and he said he was going to ship them out. Then I received the email from him saying they were damaged in shipping and he's neither responded to emails, PM's or answered his phone since that time.

Wonder if he didn't insure the package and now the models are gacked, and he doesn't have the funds to make amends? So now he's just avoiding to buy himself some time?
EDIT: Got confuzzled. So Lost Closet is saying the items were damaged in shipment.

Re: Lost Closet AKA Daniel Clark didn't send items no contact.
so he said he got stuff via ups and it was damaged?
why didn't he file a claim form. i THINK ups has a minimum of free/included insurance with their fees.
if they don't or it's not enough to cover the damage or loss, that's another issue.

Yeah,
I was thinking the same thing especially since I paid to have it insured for over $200. I emailed lindar about it and was told that scammers tend to claim "damage" to change the terms of the trade. I asked him to send pictures of the "damage" and told him he could send them back if he was unhappy. Unfortunately he's refusing to respond to any method of contact.

Re: Lost Closet AKA Daniel Clark didn't send items no contact.
Questions I would be asking myself.
1. Why was his neighbor collecting his mail?
2. Wouldn't UPS have notified the shipper if a package was damaged? I know the USPS does.
