I wasn't clear.
My thought was to have him put it in a small box. My thought process was that the $.75 for D.C. vs $2.70 for Certified Mail was FAR cheaper.
Thinking about it, I guess Certified, even at $2.70, would still be the less expensive option, though, considering the difference in postage costs of the two packages.

I agree. I went after him and got results and got back my stuff and then some.

Why does it feel EVERYONE keeps giving him chance after chance after stupid god damned chance and 'Oh god, I have to be nice to him even though he lied to me, used me, stole from me and now is trying to placate me into believing HE'S the victim [isn't that called *edit* in some areas?].

Hes being AND ASS.

YOU NEED TO BE AN ASS AND NAIL HIM!

He is so lucky I don't live anywhere near him or he and I would be 'Special Friends'.

DO YOUR DUTY AND HAVE HIM ARRESTED!

No excuses. Do it or drop it you know?

Yes true, but you can place a block of styrofaom in the envelope to make it at least three quarters of an inch think and THEN it becomes a parcel and can be tracked. :)

Thought it would help.

then it goes into a letter sorting machine, gets shredded, and becomes trash.

i know. i work on these machines everyday. right now we're scraping candy, mostly chocolate, out of them.. along with someone charge card payment, that got shredded.

the only thing that should be mailed in a letter or business size envelope, is paper.
anything else should go in a padded envelope.
then it goes thru a different machine, that sorts the mail slower and has wider gaps.

so, yes, you save some $ on postage, but get a couple days delay. [using a padded envelope and d/c.]
also, with certified, if theres a problem, like some claiming they didn't receive it, you can file for a return receipt after mailing. you can't with d/c. [like the package that got left at the wrong house. it got delivered, but where?]
also with certified, you can get signature confirmation, where you can look online and see who signed for it, not possible with d/c.

btwm you can get certified with a package, but you can't insure it also.

and, i just found out, that you no longer get free d/c with insurance. [found that out the hard way.]

Months ago, I reported it to my local authorities. I was told they would investigate and get back with me within the week. Having called once or twice a week since then, I finally received a letter in the mail. The letter told me that my report was deemed to be a civil matter and they could not help me, aside from get me in contact with a lawyer to handle a case such as this. Glad to see after 4 months, they have done nothing.

by local authorities, do you mean the police?

did you report it to the postal inspectors?
if i got the jist of it right, you sent him minis and he sent you none or orly part in return, right?

so that's fraud. mail fraud because it used the mail.
