Possible ripp off, how do I proceed?

Post by andrewdrexler »

I know this is pretty common, but I am starting to get concerned.

I have a trade in progress with Jaycine (that is his member name) . I have mailed to him and, according the the tracking number, he has received my items. BUT, so far, I have not had an email confirming he has received them, or received my items.

He has had my items almost a week now, with no response or my items forthcoming. Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed?

If he's not replying to your emails, try another method of contact - a phone number or private message. THere are a few other threads on the board now regarding alternate contact methods.

Keep us updated.

Another way to contact him is to show up at his door with a shotgun. Although I do not condone this action as it usually lands you in jail....usually

alternate contact methods

UNfornatly, he only listed a PM as a way to get ahold of him.

I will have to delve into ways other than PMs to contact him. Maybee a registered letter to the delivery address might do the trick.

Lower rating? You ship first.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

Stats are like a bikini. They show alot but not everything.

Please Note: If we are conducting a cash transaction for goods I am selling, I do not ship first no matter your rating. Sorry, once bitten, twice shy.

A month?

Yep. Get those wheels in motion.

Don't forget a bad trader thread with email correspondence, as well.

Money is a good like everything else; if your rating is lower, you ship first whether money is involved or not.

I suggest that you send a complaint to the post office before you press charges, or claim a bad trader. I just finished a deal with a great trader, and we simply had a problem where the package got lost and ended up in a post office warehouse in England. When everything was sorted out, it took about a month or so for him to get the things I sent. So, contact the post office first. Good luck with your trade :)

I'm with 'Sid on this one.

it would e ONE thing if the guy was staying in contact (I'm going through one of those, now.... but I believe the trader)... but this guy is not answering the PM's or anything.

I say nail him with a BTR.
