Ticknor and Barnard (GENERAL WARNING)

Post by insidius »

Just got word from someone that Jason Ticknor is trying to scam again over at http://starwarsminigames.com/forums/index.php

One of the names he's using is MrMonday (sound familiar?) with adresses in WI.

He apparently tried to sell $900 worth of stuff for $300, then in the middle of the trade changed his price to $250 which sounded fishy to the guy that contacted me, so he called the trade off.

Be advised, if the trade is too good to be true and it doesn't feel right, don't go through with it.

Man I am in Iowa. It would be so worth the $90 in gas i'd have to spend to drive up there and teach this dude a lesson. We should all lodge complaints with his ISP so that they will drop him.

He uses different systems (IP's) to log in. I believe he's using a public library to trade through.

Ok, update:

Ticknor and Justin Barnard (remember him?) are both hitting up this other site.

Justin's info is as follows:

Justin Barnard
1754 N. Humbolt Ave,
Milwaukee WI 53202

Don't trade with anyone with this name or address.

Ever since Barnard stuck up for Ticknor here and used him as a reference (damn these guys are bright, neh?) he became target number 2 for me.

Funny thing is that it seems no one has gotten ripped off, people have contacted me as well, but then they either
A. Dont do the trade
B. Get there minis they wanted
C. Get something to make up for the minis they wanted.
I am not trying to back these guys or say they are going straight Im just sayin it is sort of weird now.

Hey Nurgle, no offense or anything, but I don't trust you.

Considering you have the same posting habits as the criminals in question (i.e. multiple IP addresses), and have no trades here on Bartertown; being that you live so close to them, you're either friends with these guys, their "eyes and ears" on these forums, or you ARE one of them.

If I'm wrong, my apologies, but as far as I'm concerned, guilty until proven innocent.

You're just too damn curious about the whole situation for my liking.

And I don't see how you figure no one "seems to have gotten ripped off" by them. Where are you getting your informaton from? Jason and Justin?

Insidius, keep it up.
Trading Rules/"Guidelines"
1) Pictures for assembled models please
2) Post prices if you have the models, or respond with pictures and your expected price
3) Lower rep sends first unless it's a buy//sell. Buyer pays, seller ships. Unless you have less than 10 rep. Then you ship.
4) Leave trade rep after you get paid or receive items.
5) If there isn't a tracking number, it hasn't shipped. Period.
And last but not least...
6) If you have an issue address it by PM first. Always.
