Redemtion contacted me about some models had that he wanted to trade. Supposedly he was clearing out the last of his ork stuff in order to fund a new chaos army. He supposedly has a NIB set of Bikers, and a NIB Baneblade. He only wanted $70 and when I hesitated and said I'd think about it, he said he'd dug out his closet a bit and found a half-built Deff Dread that he'd throw in. I had been a bit suspect as a Deff Dread and Baneblade for $70 is a hilariously good deal, and as they say, "If it's too good to be true, it probably is." After I sent the money, he confirmed that he'd gotten it, and when I tried to contact him on the 3rd, I received no response up until this point.

How negotiable are you on that price? I'm expecting that's around $30 for the bikers and $50 for the Baneblade, and honestly that's not a great price. I've see those kind of prices all around eBay and such.

Really? I could have sworn I'd seen more than a couple go for around $50. I know I was kicking myself after cause I forgot to watch the auction more carefully and let it slip by. Also, I assume you have no interest in Magic cards, right?

not really no been out of the game way to long to really have any interest in it anymore think the last block i played was the ninja / samurai themed block but lowest i think i could do for both is 68 shipped let me know or counter i sapose they are just sitting here as ive moved on to a different army

I was actually thinking about offering $70. I'll say let's go with my number, but first I'd like to work out some issues I'm having with another trader. He's SUPPOSED to be sending me a baneblade and I honestly don't know what I'd do with the other one. But then again, it's a goddamn Baneblade. Who wouldn't want two....or like....TWENTY!?

2) Frag you for going to CHAOS of all things! Well, at least you're not Dark Eldar or Daemons... Those things are just...unnatural.

I assume that Dread has all the parts, just not fully built?

yes its a complete model i just looked and the only bits cut from the sprue where the legs and arms and the legs are on the base and arms where in the box so yes 100% there

Mostly stuff along the lines of Chaos vehicle sprues and such like that. I do have some random bits and bobbins floating around. What were you looking for?

Or at the very least, dance. Or be self-replicating. I think that's the best option of the three. I don't know what it is, but it would be wonderful to see just the max amount of cultists being drove forward by a withering barrage of Havoc fire from behind. But that's just me. I like lots of fire power and swarms. Small wonder I play orks.

I've tried contacting PayPal about getting my money back, but the process has been slow at best. I'm planning to call them later today in an effort to speed the process.

This person is no longer a member here. MM gave him/her a long vacation. Please check the other BTR reports for direction given by MM about it. Basically, contact your local police and the police in CT. When you go local have as much paper work you can get in hand.

I had a few spare minutes, so I contacted his local police department.
I spoke with Detective Curtis (Norwich PD 860-886-5561, Detective Division). Here is what must be done to get their assistance (Forgive me, if you've already done any of this. It is a generic message I'm posting to all of the BTR's.):

Visit your local PD or Sheriff's office and file a report on him.
BRING YOUR PROOF:
Bring a printed copy of EVERY PM or Email you exchanged. Have them in the order that they were sent/received.
--Even include your own in this, as it will show a complete line of communication.
Bring a list of everything you sent and the current MSRP. If you can provide a print out from the appropriate web site, then all the better. If the items you sent were OOP or (like a Hellbrute) not available individually, bring a few examples that show the aftermarket SALE price of these items (note: eBay COMPLETED auctions on SOLD items would work well for this).
File the report and ask them to follow up with the Norwich PD to ask them to take action on it. Detective Curtis said this is the only way they will take action on your complaint, so make sure your PD knows this and BE PERSISTENT!

This is my own personal advice:
Ask the officer/detective to let you know after he has successfully contacted the Norwich PD.
Ask when you can expect to hear back from him.
If he does not call you on that day, you call him the following one.
Be persistent (I can't say this enough). Stay on them to get the help you want and need.

If you encounter anything during your experience that you think might be helpful (an officer gives you advice or you have success when saying a certain thing), PLEASE post that information into your own thread and all of the other Redemtion086 threads.
If you find out who is working your case in Norwich, PLEASE post that information into your own thread and all of the other Redemtion086 threads.
