[Makutsu]

Redemtion086 has contacted me for selling his NIB daemon lot and responded to my ad, after going through with the transaction and payment through paypal.
He has not given me any confirmable information on the package, details listed as below:

I have decided to file this BTR due to couple of reasons.
1. He recently recieved a bad reference from some other member about the same situation that is happening to me as well.
2. The Tracking number that he gave me has not been able to track for about a week to two now.
3. He hasn't replied to any messages that I've sent him even though he has read them.

He told me that he mailed Priority too and as far as I have dealt with trading Priority always sends with the CP 000 000 000 US or something similar to this format as a tracking number.

I am planning to file a Paypal claim on him by the end of today if I don't see him reply to clarify things up.

Quarters end is basically blitz to get all paper work done for the quarter of there year pretty much OMG hectic every one is trying to get there stuff finished or chance getting fired for not meeting there Quotas it will get out tomorrow i have a bunch of other folks waiting on items as well so being its my only day off for the next week or so i wanna get it all done so there's no ill feelings towards me from any members i am trading with.

haven't got around to shipping it yet it will be Monday for sure and ill see what i can do about having it shipped the fastest way possible to Canada not sure how long customs takes but here is the states friday was "good friday" and the post was closed in my town for some reason and today i was way to busy running all over the place visiting family for Easter weeked.

There should be a number like that I've just recieved 3 packages and 3 more are on the way and they all have the same tracking number, like: CW#########US for priority mail.

Hi I tried using your number and it says that it's not available for tracking.
In this page of USPS it says that priority mail uses: CP 000 000 000 US which is what I generally use to track stuff.

Hey, so that tracking number is a format for USPS, that's the tracking number format given to me whenever I ship. It's a bit tricky sometimes though. Try entering it into the website without any spaces between the numbers.

The number hasn't been track able for over 2 weeks now on both the Canada Post site and the USPS site.
Also, the number that he gave me as 2 extra digits at the end not sure if that was intended as I've looked at other examples of people's tracking numbers and it seems to match the numerical only format that USPS has.

No edit button sadly, but I just tried your tracking number and it was not functioning.
Sometimes there are two extra numbers at the end. Where was he shipping from in the states? I am in Pennsylvania and whenever I ship there are always those two extra numbers at the end and they always work. Like I said I tried plugging yours in and it didn't work sadly, so the format is right but he gave you a faulty number.

Just checked the Canada Post site as well and nothing is being tracked.

Looked at the formats for international formats : http://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/ ... s1#Formats

They all seem to be in the format of AA 000 000 000 AA for packages that are international
This is also the first time I've seen numerical only tracking number so it seems a bit weird.

The format he listed is what I always get when I ship something priority, including that amount of numbers (5 blocks of 4 and a block of 2). So that's a regular format.

When I've tracked stuff that gives me the warning you receive when typing in the provided tracking info, it's usually because the item was shipped with other things and they only scanned one of the boxes. Not saying that's going on here, but it has happened to me before (just last week, in fact).

That is only for Delivery Confirmation #'s, and those are only available within the US.
I do not know, off hand, what format "Registered Mail" takes, which is how he'd have to have sent it, if it went via priority. Priority has no other way of adding tracking Internationally and I know for experience that it is not available to all areas of Canada.

Makutsu, the # you're describing is off of the Customs form. The USPS maintains that the Customs form is NOT used for tracking and, while I HAVE been able to track packages in foreign countries with that #, they do NOT track within the US, itself. I've never had one track in Canada, either.

As an aside (and NOBODY should discuss this in the thread), Makutsu, if you hold on to your "right to change your mind" in a trade to protect yourself from backouts, you should be prepared for 2 things:
1) I would still support someone filing a BO on you [and I'd guess that most staff would, too]
2) You might prepare for someone to maintain that they have the right to sell the models to a second party before your payment arrives ("Good for the goose," and all...).

Well here is a bunch of numbers that I've received recently and they were all track able.

The first two were both first class shipping and the 3rd one was priority, and I've had similar numbers for other packages as well.
All 3 numbers were track able all the way to my home.
First class generally not trackable after exiting the states becomes track able through the Canada Post website. ( Those numbers don't seem to work anymore on the Canada Post site probably because I've picked the package up)

For me that's has been the only way for me to track a package and it has worked pretty well.

The main thing was that he was reading my messages but ignoring me and then stopped coming on at all.

Anyway, I'm still open minded to this event and hope this gets cleared up.

Yeah, it might be correct but I've seen multiple users now complain about his tracking not working and that is something that he should at least be responsive about and help clear out the confusion.
And again this is the first time I've seen this type of number ship to Canada and I've had a good amount of shipments to me already and none of them were in that format for international packages.

Anyway, just filed a dispute on Paypal and will escalate to a claim within couple of days
