Removing epic scale models from bases- help!

Post by astrosmash »

Ahoy Bartertown-

I got some epic genestealers on FleaBay to use for my mini spacehulk project.

Most of them are glued to the stands. :(
Any idea on how I can liberate them?

I was thinking a bath in Simple Green or Purple Power might loosen the glue.
Maybe freeze them and try to pry them out?

Any help is appreciated! They are so tiny I'm afraid to start messing with them.

Thanks,
Matt

if they're plastic and glued with styrene glue, like testors..good luck. the plastic is melted.

if they're plastic & it's super glue they might pop apart.

best idea is to just cut the base off of the models and then trim the feet/bottom.
Heh, I was called a Grognard. ;-)
