I suppose I embellished a bit with the title... still though, it has been a long time coming for these guys. The only thing left is for the Leafs to win the Stanley Cup, the Cubs to win the World Series etc...

Both those teams have won their respective World titles, just not recently. The cubs are going on, what, 100 years or something? And the Maple Leafs haven't won the Cup in something like 50?

Agreed, they have won before, but any fan of either of those teams knows the futility of cheering for them and expecting a championship during their lifetime. Here in the Toronto area, people truly believe that Hell will freeze over before the Leafs win the Cup again. Can only imagine the Cub fans bitterness. For the record, I am not a Leafs fan, my wife is.
