I've also changed the category Large Building for Large Model and included large building, imperial knight and baneblade as a example.
On a side note, I've completed a 2X2 table for Bushido. Can I enter it here?
There has been discussion about doing a Terrain challenge, as well, but terrain hasn't been allowed in the past... much to my chagrin.
Eric
I'd be ok with us throwing terrain in here, subject to everyone's else's opinions. This is an informal contest anyways so all we have ridding on it is bragging rights. I figure a 2x2 table section is 8 points. Terrain can be both easy and hard, but i think that would be fair

I think terrain would need to have a voted on "average". Like the Baneblade vs Knight - which is harder to paint? Which has more surface to paint? One could argue either way, but if we come to a vote on what specifications a 2x2 terrain board needs maybe then we could include it. Or, start a terrain board painting challenge thread!
We're already counting fortifications. Stuff like skyshields and fortress of redemptions. Now that the wall of martyrs is allso something with a point cost as a fortification, it should count. This is very close to terrain so it's already blurring the lines

Terrain should have it's own contest.
There are several factors which would be catagories.
Size 4x4, 2x2, 3x3. 6x4. 6x3.
Complexity. Basic, open, complex, detailed.
Home made vs store bought.
Trees, home made vs store bought.
Runis, buildings.
Multiple levels.
Adjustable/changable features vs static features.
Water, space, ground, air.
Look at the GW boards. They're 4 pieces that are basiclly open. You spray them, wash, ink detail, add flock, sand, gravel and are done.
It's basiccly open. Now compare that to just some of the stuff GW has shown in books, codex and WD mags. All of them pale as compared to the terrain my local group uses. The owner ran a road rage game at a state wide convention. His table, won best terrain. All of it is home made. Roads, buildings, rocks, terrain, everything. Yes, even the natural rocks were painted.
Heh, I was called a Grognard.

Would enough members be interested in a terrain painting challenge? I don't mind creating a thread if people are interested in participating in it. I can make a initial draft for a point system and we could go from there.
info about shipping: Lower ratting pays/ship first and I live in Canada.
thank you
Sure, I'm actually in the middle of making a necro board myself. Currently it's 4x4 but a friend wants me to expand it to 4x6. Started it just this month actually I'd be game for a terrain painting challenge... or maybe a terrain challenge? because the people who build their own stuff deserve a little extra maybe?

Here is a Belial conversion I painted up for a friend, 2 points!
Easy guidelines for trading with me:
The trader with the lower rating will need to ship first.
Delivery confirmation for both parties required. I will always send the delivery confirmation number to the receiving party, and I appreciate when the same is done for me.
Don't be a jerk or treat me like one.
Thanks!
