BAD form BCI, Hell no it was not me, and the OP resolved the issue with the offender....
I might even ask for an appology for asking such a question when all we have here is our trade rep to speak for us..

Bad form.
Let's revisit something you wrote earlier in this thread.

No way... Just because a trader may have no ettiquete does not label the person a bad trader meriting a negative reference.

No items were given , none were received...its not trade..cant be elegible for a neagtive "TRADE" refrence.
You quoted something I had written, apparently erased my user-id tag from the quote hypertext confusing one person into thinking I was DarkSoul, and then contradicted what I had for all intent and purposes paraphrased of Bartertown rules with regards to BTR/negative-feedback.

Aside from appearing to defend behavior that Bartertown rules do not support, you came across as sketchy. There in lay my grounds for asking if you were the guilty party.

If you want to scold someone, start with yourself. You are the only person on this forum over whom you have grounds and authority to talk down to.

Against my better judgement ill reply.

1. The reason for removing your ID from the quote was to show I was not responding to you BCI...but to the concept on when and how negative feedback can be given. I was disagreeing with a specific the portion of the rule you paraphrased specifically dealing with giving negative feedback...the act of. Yes I wholly agree a trader who pulls out of a deal after it has been made is worthless but giving negative feed back when no harm has been done is a very strong punishment, and that specific item is what I was disagreeing with.

2. You instead made it personal by basically calling me out in a thread on our own presumptive reasons on who is and who is not "sketchy". Directly or indirectly that is an attack on ones trading reputation especially for an issue I was not even associated with. I was simply commenting like any other forum reader on a topic of discussion. The last line of your previous post really says it all and it works both ways.

Im dropping this issue and stepping away, all have a good day.

ANY MOD: Lock this thread - nothing good can come from it any more, and indeed has caused unnecessary confrontation/offense...

This seems to be one of those things that people either look at one way or the other with little gray area. Either you feel like people who waste your time and then back out (often costing you other deals that you could have made) are no big deal OR you feel that those type of people are the bane of trading and need to learn their lessons quickly. I think the rules are clear and fair (if not often read) and they state exactly when a dela is a deal. If you break a deal for any reason you are subject to a negative ref. It's a simple as that.
Nobody is eliminating the haggling process or the nuances of the trade process but once you agree to it you need to be held to it or face some undesirable consequences so you learn not to do it again.

I don't think this thread needs to be locked as long as it's still generating discussion and can be kept civil but that's just my 2 cents.

:rulez:

And now some words from the admin.
I've received two requests to look into this thread, including one from the original poster. Having read it, I am locking the thread.

Furthermore, BCI, I'm receiving a number of complaints about you. Specifically, your needlessly belligerent and provocative behavior towards other users which violates rule #6. This post serves as your formal warning per BT rules.

If you can't make your point without resorting to the specious tactic of attacking the person who disagrees with you, then don't reply at all. It's what mothers have been saying for decades: "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."
