Then you have 45 days from the day you paid to file a claim with them.

There are mixed reports, though, on what happens if he does not have the money available.

I have heard that they will "freeze" the account until the funds are available & I have heard that they will refund your money and work on getting it back from him themselves.
I do not know.

So, reply and see what he has to say.
I know I am interested... especially since I narrowly escaped being pulled into his dysfunction with some ruined building terrain for 40K.

Um...Long Beard, can you tell me what Tomb Kings models you bought from him? Because I just sent him $110 last week for Tomb Kings models, and looking back over his posts, he has only been advertising one set of models.

And I bought them all.

Look at this guys feedback.
Even the good feedback isn't very "good".
Even the good feedback mentions several "problems".
Where there's smoke,there's fire.

Maybe thats why everyone only gets part of the models, he sells the same stuff to several people.

I was thinking of buying some Dwarfs from him, until I read his feedback. There was no way I'd send this guy money first.

Everyone who bought from this guy should post exactly what they bought here. Then you guys can compare and see if you've been had.

Anyone hear from him?

I see that this Tech9 person is in California like myself and would like to let people know I have no association with him. None!

Good Luck to all the traders involved. Seems a lot of trades been going sour lately.

uh-oh.
this sucks.
i bought these models from him, for $110.
i sent the check last week tuesday, he said he recieved the check friday.
well, at least, these are the models he said he'd send me.
And includes Army book
1 Setta Special Character Model
1 Tomb Prince on Chariot
2 Lich Priest ( 1 is mounted)
4 reg. Chariots
12 heavy skeleton Horsemen
15 normal Skeleton Warriors armed with Sheilds and Spears
15 tomb Guard
5 tomb swarm bases

to Xtapl: did he promise these models to you also?
i'm going to go to the bank, and try to cancel my check.
i hope it works.
does anyone know any details about this?

You ask them to put a stop payment on the check you sent and would need to provide the check number. I think some banks may charge a fee for this.

that's fine if there is a fee.
i'm sure it's smaller than 110$.
now, since he received the check on friday, i'm sure he cashed it by now.
am i still able to stop the payment?

Hey. Guess what?

We bought the same models.

Put a stop payment on your check NOW. I am cancelling my transaction with Paypal immediately.

I would try to put a stop payment in asap. If your check was a personal check then it would take a few days to clear giving you some time to freeze it. You can ask the bank about fraud protection while you are at it.

Out of curiousity, is this Tech9 person in the Bay Area by chance? North Cal.

Longbeard, if you tell your bank the transaction you wrote the check for was fraudulant, they should be able to do something. But don't wait on this, do it first thing this morning. I didn't keep the envelope he sent the book out in, so I can't tell you what part of CA he is from. I was looking for it in hopes of being able to figure out what LGS he visits. I started to get a bad feeling about the transaction after not receiving anything for over a week, got an even worse feeling about it when the book showed up with someon elses name written in the cover. I just hope he's not selling other peoples stuff without them not knowing it.
