For those who missed the smiley, I was only joking about you doing it wrong...
Perhaps it's a mac thing. Doing it in Firefox, Icab, and Safari for me.

When trying to view refs, I get the same error:

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/barterto/public_html/ref/index.php on line 73

But occasionally, it works. It worked for about half an hour the other night which let me leave feedback, but it hasn't worked again since then.

Using latest version of Firefox.

Lost Refs

Post by BDWilliams »

I have recently had a reference go missing (was there, and no isn't), and was curious how I would go about getting it back. The other half of this trade lost the reference I gave him as well.

yep, i can vouch for him, since i'm the other half of the trade.

should we just resubmi them?
i know that sounds easier, but who knows about the glitches. don't want to double ref.

Yeah, crap, I found another problem with the refs. Give me a couple of days and if it isn't magically fixed by Wednesday, send me a PM.

Well, crap. We lost about 150 trade references which were posted between 06/03/07 17:41 and 06/04/07 23:50:35. While that is insignificant when compared to the 59,750 trade references in the database, that is still quite a bit of work and trading.

If your reference is gone, please try and contact the person you traded with and resubmit. I'm going to change how I do backups to prevent this from ever happening again.

So to summarize: *edit*.

Some of us noticed shortly thereafter - I was surprised to be told that I owed a guy a ref when I'd logged it as done ... I assumed that I was the last to know :\
