Apparently the Capt didn't get his own picture. WHOOPS! He's standing in front of the banner in the line pic! They "really" don't stand out. He's got a cape and fur at his top but it's tough to tell the difference.

I would say the Chariot falls under large vehicle for a total score of 8.

And thats my point about points. ;-)

Large vehicle is 8, but the chariot has 4 crew and 6 steeds..at 1 point each that's 10 plus the body of the vehicle.
If the crew were riding the mounts, instead of steering them, they'd be 4x3 = 12 point PLUS the 2 extra steeds and the body.

Anyone else have any other thoughts? Opinions?

If it was a single model on the same size base it would be 8 right? You wouldn't count an Imperial knight as 2 arms, 2 legs, a head and a torso would you? So I'm confused as to why the Chariot would be different.

See, that's my point about the current point system.
Big or bigger models are lessened, nerfed, gimped by it.

The some of it's parts are actually more than the whole.
If it was a land raider, it'd be 8 points..
The system was created, started when more people were building and using small and infantry vs vehivles and larger stuff.
It's only been the past few years that knights, stompas and large to huge stuff has been used, bought, painted more often.

You make a good point, kt. The problem we run into with it, though, is the same problem we ran into with the assembly contest last year... now, it's up to everyone to keep track of every little part of the overall model.
I'm not against any kind of revamp. But it's going to be difficult, I think, to come up with a reasonable points system without making it cumbersome (read: less fun) for the participants.

Just use that list I posted. It can be tweaked to fit us, but it broadens the point guides. A Skaven rat shouldn't be the same points as a Marine Character.

I never heard anyone for or against it, after you posted.
I then figured we'd stay status quo.

I should be able to change what few entries we have no to it; if that's what everyone wants.

I'm all for changing it up. It'll make things feel like its worth painting I think.

See what everyone else thinks.

I like the system as originally set, but my collection is basic and most of my stuff will fit fairly neatly in that box.
