trying to figure out tgese miniatures

Post by thegoodguy »

Found a box at the flea market, had bunch of pewter figures in it. Some are robots, most are like warhammer fantasy but really tiny. I have some pics but I gotta resize. I see ral Partha on the underside of some..any clue?

Let's see some pics, preferably in groups of no more than 5.

I recognize the infantry stands (at least the 2nd, 4th pics) as GW's old Warmaster game.

I've got a bunch of those. Like goblin/orcs. Has one big goblin guy and a wagon. Are they worth anything?

sorry, no idea on value, just remember from when I the game was released since I liked khemri during the dark ages between them kind of having a line and them actually having a line (i.e. bits ordering and cobbling together nonsense for a magazine army list)

all the bots look like Battletech models from the late 80's. For the infantry and boar riders they're warmaster pieces.

The warmaster still goes around here in the Misc. Games-Workshop Fantasy section: viewforum.php?f=80

Your best bet is to organise them count the number of stand you have and see if you can find a taker.

Best of luck with them.

The squat looking robot is definitely Partha FASA battletech. If memory serves me it's the scorpion.

The first pic is a Mechwarrior Atlas Mech. It looks like you have the arms to fit it as well.

So the robots are from different games or same game but different factions?

Same game, MechWarrior I think is more the RPG or campaign side of Battletech.

So how should I go about a trading thread for them? Just saying I've got X amount of battletech?

You'll probably get better prices individually.
Now that you know what the "robots" are, you should try a generic Google images search on metal Battletech miniatures. Any you find that match what you have should lead you to the name of the model. Once you have the name, you can search eBay on Sold (NOT "completed) auctions for that item to get an idea of what it's going for.If you don't find any SOLD< then you can try Completed for an idea of what people have been unwilling to pay.

OK, let's have another kick at this.

Try sorting everything, like for like.

Put the robots together. Put similar or identical stands together.

Put your remaining small amount of unknowns together.

Please rotate your pics.

You've got some Battletech mechs, including the Atlas and a King Crab, and some Warmaster Orcs, at least.

I can run through the WM Orcs no problem, but you need to help on your side.
