2015 Bartertown Members Painting Challenge!!!

Took me three hours per knight to do the gems. From the dark blue up to the candy coating.

I think it looks not bad. What colour were you using? Did you post it up here, don't remember seeing it.

Heh, I just found it too. Umm.. I don't recall what color they were initially. Maybe.

Well it looks good without them painted.

I find everyone paints the main one and leaves the rest. Most likely because of the amount of time it takes for each model lol.

It was fun to paint. If I was to ever do it over again I think I would paint it all like the knights. I really like how they came out.

Onto some Imperial Knights now, a nice change from the smooth, gem-filled army of space Elves.

Helldrake. I've had this model since it's release. It's sat in the box partially built and primed black. I couldn't decide what colors to paint. I finally decided to paint it Aged Bronze by Reaper paints, on the trim. I also used Warplock Bronze, Bolt Gun metal with Blood for the Blood God, Typhus Corrosion and Ryza Rust aging.
I finished with a very thin wash of purple wash. I applied it and then put it under running water and applied it again and rinsed it again.
The base is Blackfire Earth texture and Craftsmart paint Orange Spice on the edge.
It has a Krylon dullcote sealer.

Not sure how many points, 6 or 8.

















Some pics have flash, some don't. All were outside and the lighting changed.

The dark metallic + warm trim said iron warriors or black legion to me... Either way, I think the rust on the neck looks very nice.
