Re: 2015 Bartertown Members Painting Challenge!!!
Thanks guys...i went with a different paint scheme on the necro orcs. I wanted them to be dirty and used a more muted pallatte than i normally use on orcs.

So the Termi captain came to me painted. Looking at 8 points for the terminators and 5 for the Dreadnought for 13 more total. Thanks!

Re: 2015 Bartertown Members Painting Challenge!!!
I like the termies dude, especially the color scheme - which if you asked me yesterday if grey with red and yellow highlights would look good I'd probably say "probably not" but when I see them I really like it.
Of course I'm considering doing my marines in grey and black, so maybe I'm biased.
In other news, it is supposed to be warm enough for me to prime this weekend, so I'm hoping to post pics this next week. So xcite.

Not Evil Matt - Very nice job!!
Hawtfist - Too cold? I live in north central ontario and we get some pretty damn cold weather. I spray outside in my unheated shed consistantly all winter during snowstorms, cold weather(down to -25 degrees celcius so far this winter, not including wind chill) using armypainter fur brown primer and Krylon grey, and ruddy red primers and have had no problems.(in fact i never had a problem in much extreme weather using a variety of brands over the last 10+ winters)
Edit- As long as the figures is stored in the house and can of paint as well before spraying.

Interesting. I've been told that if it's much below 40 F you don't get as good a spray - but I'll be honest, I never checked - I hate cold and live somewhere warm on purpose - I walked to school once in MI at -15 F and that blew. Swore I wouldn't do it again if I could help it. Back then I used brush on primer too, so I just did it indoors.

Re: 2015 Bartertown Members Painting Challenge!!!
Well ive also read that a few times and it all depends on your enviroment i guess. We have a relatively dry cold up here, not much humidity, and it goes on smooth. I bet many problems are due to humidity not cold related at all. Try a sprue frame and go from there.
Hell if i couldnt prime in the winter i wouldnt paint much at all due to spending most of my time outside in summer.

The cold doesn't matter too much. Humidity and high heat are the worst.
Too hot and the paint dries mid-air. Too humid and it goes on grainy.
Too cold? No prob. Just make sure you're using primer that's been stored INSIDE and take your models in right away (just in case).

Re: 2015 Bartertown Members Painting Challenge!!!
Thanks guys! I learn something new every day. I might even tolerate cold a little bit this week to prime so I can properly paint on the weekend.

That's amazing looking! I don't have an issue with 15 points for that.
