Boskie: (and really anyone else that may have this issue...so it shows up on a search)

If you go to the Edit picture section of Photobucket you can select resize and then change the number shown in Hgt or Width to be about half of what it is...for photobucket if you change one number it will automatically change the other as appropriate.

second: You can pick up a small clamp lamp at Home Depot with a swivel neck for about 19 dollars (I got one the other day) and it clips onto the side of your desk. using the soft white light bulb shine it on your minis and take the picture with your camera in between the light source and the mini's (it should be less harse then the flash)

might be a little cheaper then a new camera :) also do a youtube search on light boxes...they are really easy to make. I made a nice one with a USPS large shipping box, white contruction board paper from Walgreens, packing tap and a white cloth that I bought from joAnn fabrics. Total was about 8 bucks if that plus an hour of my time.

Not to get the thread WAY to far off topic...

Hapotte showed me how to get it to post, I suppose I can change those numbers so it's not as large in the text box. I'll mess with it some more and see what I can do with it.

On that desk the primary light source actually is two of those lights - one on either side... I'll look into the light box.

Thanks!

Would you mind sharing how you painted them? What colors and your technique?

Those are very good.

I second Kturock in asking how that was done. Simply amazing.
I was asked for the same thing over on the WWX forums so I have a text version of what I did. I will be adding pictures when I get to the next batch as five at a time seemed to work well. It is currently the last post in this thread. Now if I could paint the minis as well as I did on a big open space.

Perferators, 5 x 2 pts = 10 pts.

*edit*
And since we haven't updated, I'll add these here:

Reciprocators, 5 x 2 pts = 10 pts.

Total of 20 pts!

My start 2 Necron warriors, 1 scarab, 1 C'Tan Shard. 5 points I believe.

2 pics of the same models, 1 with flash, 1 without.

The warriors and the scarab were my test models for the rest of them. I'll post the rest as I finish.
The Necrons reanimation protocols are implemented.
Heh, I was called a Grognard. ;-)

And 10 more points added to bahamut, you're getting a nicely painted army there! Keep them coming. I've started to work on my deadzone mini to take a break from the zombies.

Hopefully tonight I can finish the scarabs and more of the warriors. 23 bases and 58 warriors to go.
I've also started about 20 immortals and lychguard.

how many points are dreadnaught size minis?

this guy is on a 50 mm base if i remember. (if you need context look at the previous picture of them on the paper towel so you can compare the normal space marine size guys on 25mm bases and him at the top)

:D

He is as big as a heavy warjack so if I need to put comparison pics up i can :D

Fixed for 5 points. No need for conparison pics, I just don't know every system and their models, but I'll learn  If you can post the point value alongside the picture you post, it would be a great help.

Very cool blue by the way, I love that color.
