Re: Incomplete Trade: oyowzas
I ahve a few things to say, and please, no one pick at it and saying I am being rude. I think I've gone through enough int he past while (and not just on bartertown) to sound a bit rude.
Firstly, I gave him a URL to the forms to fill, which he got because he replied to it, and it went from out to the sentbox. Here is my message sent more than a week ago:

Hey, no problem. Since you only read it today (I checked and kept seeing it in the outbox, not sent) so I am willing to give you a couple more days if needed, but I'd appreciate it ASAP.
You can do it online, but all the sites I know are for Canada.
However, a quick search revealed this:
http://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms ... laint.aspx
Now, I have not gone into it very much, but it seems like the right page.
sarnas
I don't know why it copies like that, but in the message it links to this: http://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms ... laint.aspx
So it should not take eight days to look for a form after being sent it?
Secondly, on shipping. Yeah, my bad. I already explained that it would've been ten dollars more for a slightly bigger box, and has I had already payed too much (I sent it once, it was returned to me, so I had to send it AGAIN) I decided not to go for the bigger box. You mentioned it was roughed up. Now it's the most horibble package ever. If it was really bad, which I hope it wasn't, then why did you not give me proof all the times I asked you for it? Or why did you not even take it further? If I was handed a bag of scrap parts instead of a PSP (Which, IMO, would be better than nothing at this point) I would've complained more than 'roughed up.'
Thirdly, yeah, I called you a **EDIT** out of context. That was wrong of me, but at this stage, who's the one out several hundred dollars?

Not to stray off topic here, I just want to clarify that MM is correct and I may have miss-spoken my point. It IS the senders responsibility for packaging so that the items sent arrive in the condition represented during the trade. My point though was not that the items were broken(as I don't know that to be the case) but more of a general quote to state if you expect safely packaged items to you, you can claify that during the trade agreement process.
Back to the topic though. Yes oyowzas, you need to follow-up. It is your responsibility from the time you ship till it is delivered to him. If it fails anywhere in that process it falls back to you to resolve or make good. Honestly, even with the receipt and customs forms and the ability to track it, if it never gets to him, then its you that is out. Not him as its not his fault it wasn't received.

The only "hobby" GW is interested in is lining their pockets with your money.

Some good points, jlong. I still don't know the actual list of 'injuries' to the models, but, he did get them at least, right? I'd rather recieve some sort of repayment and not give a negative and file mail fraud then give him a negative and then go through mail fraud... My patience is running thin though, I've been waiting about 10 weeks now.jlong05 wrote:Not to stray off topic here, I just want to clarify that MM is correct and I may have miss-spoken my point. That was eight days ago. You read it (I check to see if my messages have been read very often, as I use a computer during the day.) All I did to get that link was google searched "US Mail Fraud." If you had tried, it would've been number one.
Today is tuesday. You have until friday to do one of these things, as I am sick and tired of waiting. Give me proof that you have filed for mail fraud, and I don't care how you do it, just do it. Or you can give me proof of my models being shipped back, insured and with delivery confirmation.
Or you can also agree to the below. It's the easiest thing we can do.
I won't file for fraud, nor will I leave a negative trade reference on your profile.
In return, the ammount of $180 CDN will be deposited to the paypal account bstanners@hotmail.com
If I was scamming you, I'd ask for $350, the full package price of a bigger PSP bundle box. The 180 is the basic cost of a PSP unit, and that's leaving me hanging for the 20 or so dollars tax and the other games I was supposed to get. Proof of price;
http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetai ... atid=22453
This is the lowest ammount I will go to, as I am deep enough in the hole as it is.

Re: Incomplete Trade: oyowzas
I'm not exactly sure what replying and saying funny has to do with anything? But thats beside the point i guess. What isnt is that you sent me the wrong link my friend, the link you sent me would have me filing mail fraud against myself. What i'm looking for is a form to file for lost mail. I can't see why on earth i would file mail fraud against myself that just makes very little sense and honestly, I feel is an insult to my intelligence. Now maybe someone else can help us by showing me a link where i could file for lost mail, since sarnas has been incapable of even helping in the slightest sense. Its almost as if he doesnt want me to file the right form.
Maybe i'm wrong here, and maybe sending a message that says "funny" isn't an utter waste of time to both parties involved, and maybe a message such as that can be deemed "helping"?

Re: Incomplete Trade: oyowzas
Oyowzas - you are missing the entire point. Sarnas shouldnt have to "spoon feed you" and provide you links. You are a big boy, find & file the lost package forms yourself.
If you want to negotiate a settlement, maybe you should keep it to PMs.

Sorry, the funny part was me being annoyed, and it was not just the whole message, it was 'funny' and then the quoted mesaage, then it continued. Sorry again.

Well I hope you guys can come to an agreement. But you cannot expect anywhere near retail for used minis. You can get new in box/on sprue for 20-25% off. Good luck you two.sarnas wrote:Sorry, the funny part was me being annoyed, and it was not just the whole message, it was 'funny' and then the quoted mesaage, then it continued. Sorry again.

Re: Incomplete Trade: oyowzas
Going on the offensive isn't the right tactic here, man. YOU have to take care of YOUR side of the deal. If he was KIND ENOUGH to go looking for a link for you, but got the right one, a better response is:oyowzas wrote:I'm not exactly sure what replying and saying funny has to do with anything? "Hey. Thanks for providing the link. Unfortunately, it was the wrong one. I did a little research. The correct link is actually..."
See the difference?
That's not the issue. What is at issue here is the value of what YOU were sending.oyowzas wrote:P.s. 180 dollars us is more then the entire tyranid army you sent would cost to buy brand new.
If I agree to trade Starslayer $100 of minis for $500 in electronics in trade, what is the value of the stuff he's sending me?
Yes. $500. So, if he doesn't deliver on his promise, what is his debt to me?
Yes. $500.
His debt isn't what I sent him. It's what he promised me.
See how that works?

Re: Incomplete Trade: oyowzas
Sorry to everyone we were both getting edgey and hostile as this trade has dragged on, but were working on a negotiation for a replacement and i feel like things are on the road to resolution. Sorry for wasting everyones time on here, and sorry for getting so hostile.
My army changes more than my tv.
Trade resolved
Yes everyone, we have agreed upon replacements that have been negotiated between us.
I was hostile, with the whole "D/B" out of line thing, and the other tings I have said. I think we were both just weary and frusturated and wanted this to be over, and neither of us wanted to accept blame, when really it was both of our faults.
Well, it's being resolved, and once I recieve the replacement package, this will all be over. Mods, feel free to lock this so that no one's anger can be flared back up or what have you. i think we both learned some lessons over the time of this trade.

Re: Incomplete Trade: oyowzas
Yes, unfortunately I need this re-opened.
He told me Sept 27th that he would ship a replacement package (As I still have not recieved the PSP) on the following Thursday, which was October 2nd.
I sent him a reply the same day, asking for delivery confirmation, insurance and a tracking number. I also asked him to send me a PM after he sent the package. He never replied, and the last time he was active upon this website was October first. I am still empty handed.
I sent his name and address to MagickalMemories and he whitepaged oyowzas, and found that there is no phone # for him, but for someone that may be related whom I am going to call... I'm also going to file for mail fraud on several US websites.
Be warned, he is a bad trader.
