Redstarone,
I will indeed be contacting his local PD. I believe that you are right on the money that he intended to do this all along. He cleaned out the account asap to collect the cash. I also think that it's a power trip for him to rip us off and that he continues to read what is posted on Btown.

Peace be with you Redstar,
I think both of us were thinking on the same wavelength to begin with and if I need a conversion artist, I know where to find you. At least I know I am good for it

Should we call his local PD? If so, do we have a number? (...or did I miss it somewhere?)

I've escilated all my PayPal claims (a while ago), and filed with eConsumer. Anything else we can/should do individually en-masse?

Thanks for this. Do you suggest those of us in the US use this link to report the theft as well?

Can I get a roll call of all those of you that have either called the UK police or did the report a crime link. Please define which you did. Either PM or reply on the board will suffice.

I will keep a log on my first post in this thread.

I have updated a few of the more important posts in this thread with large red font to draw your attention. If you are new to this thread they are on the 2nd and 4th pages. Some will require action. Also if anybody has not checked the first post in this thread in a while I would encourage you to.

Hello Norseman,
I don't have access to a phone so I posted a complaint through econsumer.gov. I also used the Humberside PD report a crime so I have reported the douche. If anyone else was taken by this guy report him to both.

Filed claims with econsumer.gov and the local PD through the link provided.

I am amazed at all of the work that everyone has done on this case. My personal thanks to the Bartertown community, and Norseman in particular for taking the lead and running with it.

Important Information Please Read

Call back from UKPD details

I received a call from UKPD this morning and I have some good and some bad news.

Bad news first
As I understood the conversation, my personal report has been deemed "not economically viable" for the UKPD criminal division to deal with personally. My report has been forwarded to the economic division for appraisal. I also asked for a Police visit to the house by a local officer to inform Joesph's mother of what is happening, and to inform Joesph that they are aware of his actions and that they are illegal and if he persists he will be charged. The officer put it in as a recommendation on the report and it would be forwarded to his captain for approval. He seemed pretty positive that it would be approved, and that this would happen.

Good News
The economic division will probably act on this. I guided the officer to this thread and he will be forwarding this and the bad trader forums to the economic division.

More Good News
The officer that I talked to detailed to me that it there were more similar reports this would help the criminal viability immensely. So it is up to us to make those reports. We need EVERY person effected too post a report. People like TrooperPX with the large dollar amounts are extremely important. TrooperPX should probably make a phone call and report it. If we want action to happen we need everybody to TAKE ACTION.

Again I need everybody to make a report. Please msg me when you have done this and tell me how. I have updated the first post in the thread with everybody that has done this.

I also need everyones real names and contact info.

Nope. that's just his egomaniacal way of saying, "Ha ha. Try it. I'll get away with it."

Either that, or the dumb*ss thinks it'll make you guys stop trying to go after him.

I received an e-mail from the "Crime Centre Investigation Team" for more information. I sent off what they requested, and thanked them for their time and attention in this matter.

For the record, I have registered a complaint with the Humberside PD via web.
Also for the record, I got a resolution on my Paypal dispute: They agree I have been wronged but are unable to recover any funds.
