...but he's only been a member of the site for 3 weeks?

Could this be someone else? ...or has he got more than one account?

I hope you are right btw, and it's nothing. But to be honest lots of stuff didn't hang together, and after seeing other peoples troubles, and reading his other posts, I thought I had better post. Naturally I shall retract and apologise if proved wrong.

I started contact with him with the referal from his friend on another forum. If this all does turn out bad I hate to say but I may be the one that brought him over here. I try and bring all my clients from other forums here, because well, I love this place.

If this does turn out bad, not to mention my deal with him, then im seriously sorry for being a part of it. But like I said, its been a week. He might still pull threw.

We PM at least every-other-day. I'm still waiting for a tracking number, but communication has been good.

Well to be fair he does have 3 refs now, which all look genuine, so lets hope I'm jumping at shadows...

the_trader did the same to me as well.Claimed they wanted every one of the space marines i had listed on here and the £180 would of been nice, total timewaster and stopped replying to messages.
Please reply to PM's, even if it's a simple "no thanks" or "sorry, gone". It's just common courtesy.

In that case, konversionz, you need to open your own thread. Tacking your story onto this thread is not permitted.

You will need to post your messages, in a new thread, instead of "me too!" in this one.

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

If you don't have your Location listed in your User Control Panel, why not take a second and update it? It will let your trading partners know where you are from the beginning.

I use the Unofficial Porkuslime Trading Guidelines - if you have way less refs.. you ship first.

You need to start a new BTR on him.

Also, you need to start the PayPal refund process and/or do a chargeback through your credit card.

Well.. to answer your question.. it has taken anywhere from 8 days to 30 days for past trades that I have done.. so there is a smidgen of hope.

However, echoing JohnHwang.. you need to separate this out and start a new thread.

I've gotten RPS small packet post to Japan in a week, so it all depends on how he mailed it. If he mailed it. :(

it depends on where he mailed it, when he mailed it, how he mailed it and..

when it reaches customs, in both countries. how far back 'in-line' it is, and how much is inspected and how much is just 'moved along'.

the faster the service he chose, the fater it gets to and through the system and customs.
the bigger the post office, the faster he gets sorted and sent out.
some post offices are closed on weekends, and if it didn't leave there before the last truck leaves, it could sit there all weekend, and holidays add another day.

i know this holds true in the US, and can imagine that it's lso true everywhere else in the world.
Heh, I was called a Grognard. ;-)

I regularly get letter post (ccg cards) from the US that takes 4-5 days.. however often it takes a week or two. Parcels tend to be much longer - 2-4 weeks airmail, and anything up to 6-8 weeks surface mail, so there is hope on that score yet. Customs is often the big variable, particularly if it's a large package or large value. Christmas may also delay things - certainly we are long past the last guaranteed posting date for the US here.

In my case, it was something allegedly posted off 2.5 weeks ago, that should have arrived next day, 2 at the outside. Transatlantic will take much longer.

That said, you have to read the threads, and make your own judgment call. If you are going to call it bad, the earlier it's done the better, but you also need to give it a fair chance.

There's also his near complete no response rate. When making the deals he seems chatty enough, but he's completly flopped on responding to anything substantive.

Yes - I was getting 10 PM's a night agreeing a deal, and almost nothing since, especially when I'm chasing him...
