Tracking not working

What are you supposed to do if you bought something on here, and the seller provided tracking info but said tracking info isn't working?

Follow up, if you ask them to double check the tracking info and they don't respond to messages what are you supposed to do?

What does it say when you put in the tracking number?

And have they read the messages? If you go into your private messages, is the message you sent still in the Outbox, or did it move to the Sent folder? If it’s still in the Outbox it hasn’t been read yet.

Every time I put the tracking info I get a "tracking number doesn't exist" message.

The last response I received was on Friday, but the last message, asking for a double check on the tracking info, is still in the outbox.

Do I need to start the process on a BTR?

Prepare for the worst, just in case.
Make sure you're copying & pasting the #, and not typing it.
PM a Mod or Admin for advice (include all info on the trader).
Start preparing the BTR.
File a dispute with PayPal/payment service/payment source.
