I realize that the paid banner ads at the top of the site form part of the revenue stream that keeps this site going, and I'm personally very grateful for their sponsorships and general good will to the community at large. I try to click on every new banner to see if there's something I can buy from those vendors.
That said, I would suggest, for both Bartertown's and the vendor's sakes, that these banners link to working websites. In real life, I'm a user experience professional, and nothing will kill repeat visits more than broken links or links to sites that are just placeholder text and dead links. There is a banner today that does that.
If you are a vendor that is in the middle of a redesign or something that would cause you to make your site unusable, I highly recommend that you let Bartertown know and have them remove your banner from the queue temporarily.
Just a suggestion. This is the best community of gamers on the internet. Thanks.

Good day!
Thanks for your thoughts! If you find any banners with dead links please share with the staff so we can either contact the advertiser or check things on our end to make sure nothing broke.
