I just noticed this yesterday.
I'm not getting an email notice with a link when I get a new PM.
I received 1 new pm yesterday and 2 today, and no emails.

Yes the box [circle] is checked in my board preferences in the user control panel.

No they didn't go to my spam filter.

Matter of fact, I don't know if I'm getting email about topics updated, since I haven't replied in a while.

My email address is also correct under account setting in the user control panel.

A new glitch?

It might be you. Standard IT pro response: When in doubt, reboot. In this case, remove your email address and save. Select "do not notify." Save. Change both back to the way you want them. Save. Test.

i didn't get notice that either of you replied to the post.

yes the notify me box at the bottom is checked.

I just had to set that DST is no longer in effect. The clock was 1 hour off [fast].

That's a change we have to make manually. For whatever reason, the phpbb software doesn't track it.

Hmm. Maybe there's a MOD available that will do it, then.
I know that, since BTown started phpbb in 2003, I've had to manually switch my time.

I'll have to see if I can't find a MOD for it and get it installed.

I've found out why notification e-mails are getting blocked. Several ISPs (AT&T, Comcast) are blocking e-mails for spamming (we've had nearly 2000 returned to sender since Nov 1st), and that's unfortunately beyond our control. Be sure the admin [at] bartertown [dot] com is added to your always allow list, if your service provider has that capability.

I'm looking into routing the notification e-mails out via gmail or some other e-mail service, but thus far have had no luck.

My current suggestion for a work-around is to make a free gmail account, and forward any e-mails sent to it to your desired e-mail address. Once you've done that, change your e-mail here on Bartertown to the gmail address, and then you should get notifications to your main e-mail. (I use gmail and I get notifications, so I know gmail has no issues).

If there is any update to this situation, I'll post here.

ok.. must be hotmail too, since as a test I switched from att to hotmail and didn't get any notices either.

I have this problem intermittently. I use Yahoo Mail. Some times I do get a mail message about a PM, othertimes, not.

I still don't get any emails about any posts or pm's from here.

Yahoo mail user as well and haven't been getting notifications for close to a few weeks now...

The last email notification I received was the 17th and I've received several PM's since then with no notification.

I am using Yahoo Mail as well.
