Email Notifications Not Going Out?

Post by YoungWolf777 »

I've double-checked all of my settings and I haven't been receiving any notifications from good old Bartertown. No spam, nothing in inbox, nada. I use Gmail and haven't had this issue with B-Town before. Can our resident techno-wizard check into this please?

Plarz posted specifically about B-Town being blocked by hotmail and other Microsoft held domains. Nothing about gmail as well and I was receiving emails at that time. This is recent, within the last 30 days or so.

This has started just recently with Gmail. We are looking into it. Every so often we have to send in a Whitelist request, so it's probably that time of the year.

I'm sure Plarz will update as things progress.

Hey gang,

Sorry for the slow response here - I'm also a Gmail user, but not terribly active trader right now, so I didn't notice the reduction in notifications.

Looks like Gmail didn't block us, but our IP has been flagged for being in a bad neighborhood, apparently (UCEPROTECTL3). My guess is, Gmail subscribes to this list or uses it to influence its own traffic controls.

So, I'm going to go to my usual playbook for this. 1) Double check we don't have any viruses or bad things happening on our server, and 2) reach out to our host about what they can do. With any luck, we'll have this cleared up in just a few days

I'll reply here with more info when I've got it.

Sorry for the inconvenience, folks.

I got an email notification today, but it was in my spam folder. So I labelled it not spam.

Has anyone else received anything?

Adding my voice to the chorus, no emails in several months... Gmail user, tried several clients and dug through folders and settings. :(

Has anyone reached out to gmail about the fact that they're not delivering the email we're trying to send you?
