I'd definitely read the rules about Bad Trader Reports. Hopefully it won't come to that, but it never hurts to be prepared. Keep the lines of communication open and be upfront about how you would like to see this resolved. Definitely take pictures. How did you pay?

Paypal, but it converted to Euro and it was overseas. Not sure how that flies with Paypal though. I'm taking pics now. Its such a mess I'm so deflated. It wasn't a pro painted lot by any means, but the conversions were the draw and not sure how this gets resolved. What options do I have? Open a case? Get a partial refund? Try to get a return for a full refund? Not sure what options are even enforceable should the other party not be reasonable. Packed with Paper Towel???? Sigh...

Did you take photos of how the models looked when they arrived? Including what packaging was used? It is not necessary, but it only helps your case if you have to file the claim with Paypal.

But reach out to the trader first and see what they are willing to do to rectify the issue.

Yep, took a few photos just now. Just amazed at how pathetic this lot is. I have the photo link for what the lot SHOULD have looked like too.

You have a certain time frame to open a PayPal dispute. If the seller isn't responding to your PM's or doesn't want to play ball you can always open a dispute. Disputes can be closed at any time, and also send a message that you're serious. Only use this as a next step, however. Try to resolve it amicably at first, and open a dispute if necessary, but bear that window of opening a dispute in mind. Also, if you're getting nowhere, post up a thread in the Bad Trader forum, but read all of the rules first and PM a moderator (Red names) if you're not sure exactly how to post one. MagickalMemories is a great person to contact as well.

Quoted for truth!

Reach out to him. Explain your problems to him as calmly as you did in this thread. TELL him how you want it resolved. See where it leads you from there. In a worst case scenario, file for PayPal for "Significantly Not As Described" (SNAD).

You might even consider filing with PayPal immediately. You can always release the complaint if he makes good. This will allow you to move forward on a claim faster, if you have to.

Don't save the link. If it's a link to HIS images, he can always remove them.
Go save them to your own computer/dropbox/photobucket.

Well he asked me to send as friends/family to save the fees on his end and I agreed and now I think I'm locked out of opening a case as a result. Wow that's a lesson for an old dog like me...sigh..

Not true, as MM would say, call them up, plead ignorance. Tell them you made a mistake and it will never happen again. It has been done before and worked.

Plus--let's give the guy some time to respond. Start on the PayPal case as a self-protective measure, but 24 hours is a reasonable time to wait for someone to message you back.
I am always in the market for weird and wonderful GW oddbitz and ephemera. PM me if you have something old/weird/rare.
