Here's the new painting challenge!

Every Bartertowner and staff members may participate in the challenge. I've used the spoiler tag to keep this post as clean as I can.

For the new guys, it's pretty simple. I'll keep track of the points in the first post but please let me know the total points you've painted in each post.

Only models mostly painted after January 1st 2024 can be submitted in the challenge. To keep things more balanced and to prevent cases where members hold off from submitting points until the very end of the year, we will set a maximum amount of points allowed to be submitted in the month of November and December to no more than 200 per month (you can still submit more, but any points over 200 will not be added to your total in November and December).

Small Infantry: 1

20mm Square to 40mm Round Bases: 1 [At least 2-3 colours or techniques must be used. Example: Static grass, rocks, mud effects, etc]

50mm Square to 90mm Round Bases: 2 [At least 2-3 colours or techniques must be used. Example: Static grass, rocks, mud effects, etc]

100mm+ Bases: 3 [At least 3 colours or techniques must be used. Example: Static grass, rocks, mud effects, etc]

Tiny Terrain: 1 [Objective markers, barrels, or anything else that is small in size that sits outside Small Terrain]

Small Terrain: 5 [no more than 6" across at its widest point and no more than 4" tall at its tallest point]

Medium Terrain: 15 [no more than 10" across at its widest point and no more than 18" tall at its tallest point]

Large Terrain: 25 [anything that is larger than the above terrain categories]

My next batch is finally finished.
But this isn't but maybe half of my Nighthaunts.

11 various ghost and 1 leader on larger base. Black coach. 4 horses, 3attached ghosts and the coach itself.

haunts are 2 point each. plus the basses.? 22+base
leader is 3 points plus the base.? 3+base

coach. is 3 riders, 4 horses and the coach itself and the base. 20+ base?
not sure of the points on it.

It's a snow effect on the base. not sure how you want to score it.

I started playing everquest after decades with friends I had in college- we are having too much fun to paint!

I've been swamped with work and am now mid-moving, so all my Warhammer is packed lol.

I HAVE managed to paint some things this year, but I've been so busy that I haven't had time to take pictures.

Re: bases - just score them 1 point each since it's fairly basic. So 58 points if my brain hasn't failed me.

I cant remember the last time i could sit down and paint real life has been a pain

9 minis from my Escher gang for Necromunda.
My gang has 10 minis. 1 I painted a few years ago and left the rest. We just started a league and now I', motivated to paint the gang.
They aren't painted in the traditional style. I started with the Harlie Quinn motif. Now it's a similar, but the leaders of the gang each have their own color.
White for the Snow Queen, like Emma Frost from Marvel comics.
Black for the Death Maiden. I'm calling her the Black Maiden. Like an old 40k Calidius assassin.
Red and blue to keep with the mono color theme.
The Lil Sisters all have multi colors, until they earn their color.

9 models, 1 point each. 9 points.

Just noticed I never finished and submitted my 10 model Scorpion Kill Team squad.
I chose an alternate paint scheme. It's the colors of a real scorpion.
10 models.
10 points.

AND. I have 2 objective markers for my KT Scorpions.

Are they legal to enter? or are they terrain?

2 points total.

19 or 21 points total from the 3 posts.

They are legal!

+21 (109) points!

Cranking through my NightHaunts. I found my old bottle of paint dried out, but I have 2 more on hand.
37 more infantry and 1 mounted Cav leader and 1 leader on a 65mm base.

Hope to finish this week.
