Playing around with molds and resin.

Post by warlordgarou »

For various and sundry reasons, I've been experimenting with making molds and resin terrain pieces. My first project was making some walls and trench templates for our WM group at the FLGS. (No figs for scale, but the trench is 3" x 5", and the wall is 4" x 3/4"). They look okay, despite crappy cell phone pic and a quick paint job.

I decided to try my hand at making a building for Robotech. I'm moderately happy with it - the first attempt at this mold failed, and I can see room for improvement with this one (the walls could be thinner, for example), but this one should look okay, once I sand it, glue it together, and make the roof for it.

(And that's what I have been doing lately, instead of painting. I should probably pick up a brush again.)
