Hello, Hello, Bartertown!
Thanks to you insane fellas, I hit more than my greedy mark for my next project a GK Army. And I was thinking, I might have missed it, but how often do you get to see the fruits of your trades on here. I mean I message you, you message me, items/cash trade hands, feedback is left, we walk away. So today, and probably for a few months to a year, I will post along this thread my never ending dredge to build my own GK Army. So how this started. A long ways back a good friend of mine stomped my IG with his GK/Inquisitor Army. And when I heard they where releasing the new GK Codex, I decided it was time for a trip down memory lane. Sigh...I was robbed, but its ok, I will buy the other codexes (Thanks GW as if I don't give you enough already) so that I can play them as I remember them. To digress, I do not even have a list yet. But I know there fluff says there is about a 1000 of them....So lets see how close I get. Attached are the images of what YOU Bartertown have so gratiously traded to me (There are no duplicates in the images). I am still on the hunt for a few things, but I may go wonder to the LGS and break the bank to get them. Prior to starting the painting. As you will see in the following pictures this is what I am loosely calling my GK Army currently looks like.
The last boxes arrived this weekend, and the other dozen boxes are already staged on my self. (Note to self, Get a bigger shelf since it does not all fit!) So if you can imagine I have some bare metal, plastic on the sprue, assembled plastics, half painted metals, and some quality paint jobs all in one. Not quite fit to call themselves an Army yet. But good news is. They are all going to go soak in my special home brew stripping mix, and by this weekend will be nice and shinny. Maybe then my insanity can begin! Stay tunned for more progress updates with photos, and perhaps maybe those reinforcements I want will avail themselves and join the project. And now your part, keep me motivated. I tend to bore of projects or get sidetracked by women and alcohol. So if your bored place a comment here to keep me working in the dark and cold basement, where I belong.
Work starts tommorrow...
Thanks for visiting,
Happy Hunting!
Eric
