Thanks! Hapotte, it's woodland scenics and white glue- i always do some white in the middle plus two layers because otherwise it looks thin. I have a ton of the stuff, if you want some.

Just spent an hour thumbing through your pages, really really nice work. The variety of your styles and schemes is impressive, perfectly tailored to bring the models to life. I'm jealous, you have one lucky Kingdom of Death play group!

3eland, nope, just playing around with plain black to see how it'd look. I think a little more stylized minimalist like this works a little better, but with board games I feel like it's generally easier to go with a minimalist style that fits.

Fortitudo, thanks re: KD

I've been really liking painting the line, probably my favorite since I got in to Malifaux.

Thanks! Yeah, I had a lot of fun with that, it was some of my earlier lighting that I touched up for the revision, still not perfect, but they look consistent with the rest of my Mali stuff now.

Next up, my first big push on Night Lords in a long time:

Seamus crew looks really well done!

And the cultists are pretty awesome. Lots of work for a throw away unit though.

Hehe, yeah, IDK if I'd do that one again... I started with a simpler color scheme with the same variety of colors because I wanted to emphasize the rabble, and less contrast, but then it just looked too out of place so I pushed the contrast until they fit. I think that, if I ever finish a full squad, that I'll make the rest a much simpler/more consistent color scheme so at least it doesn't take so long. Hopefully adding to these will keep them looking kind of like a mob without quite the pain. And there will never be more units of those chumps.

That's actually a cool idea. Have 20 at that level and say 30-40 (depending on how many you want ha ha) at a simpler scheme and mix them together.

Thanks! Yeah, normally I try to paint them to the same standard, but you're right- I guess it's a bit like WHFB players often made the first rank nicer looking.
