Ok I am starting up a Starship Troopers skinny army for my local gaming group who have people interested in the game, the issue is the game has been officially out of print since '07 so i am SOL forgetting a hold of many of the skinny units, which is fine mostly due to the fact that i have access to the stuff that i want for my army except two units. One of which i can live without so i am going to try to convert the other models that i need. What I need to convert are Skinny Raiders.

Some pictures of the actual models

Now i had been toying around in my head with using the base as kroot or eldar from the 40k range until i saw the last picture on the page at the bottom.

Not the same model mind you but the same height as the models i need to convert, for comparison and to inform you, the human soldier is the same size as a 40k Space Marine, My issue is that Kroot and Eldar are the same size as Space Marines also. So i need a plan B. So far the only thing i can think of is that i can use Tau Pulse Rifles as constrictor rifles, but that is woefully the only thing i can think of.

I have tried googling anyone else who has done these conversions and their is nothing on google I have found that can help. Hopefully you guys have some experience with other miniatures companies out there that make miniatures tall enough that i could work with to make Skinnies out of.

Any advice you guys can offer is appreciated.
EDIT: Sorry i had to link to the page instead of the pictures, the links kept breaking

Rebel minis: http://www.rebelminis.com/valonianempire.html have acquired the moulds for the Skinnies, but has had to make subtle changes due to licensing. They are now being marketed as the Valonian Empire and there are plans to expand the range to cover all the original Mongoose figures. They are now more 'simian-like' in appearance, but that may not be an issue for you.
