I know there's a hundred good reasons why I should use other, better models but:
I'm painting up some ancient Egyptians made by Italeri* and they are absolutely horrible at accepting glue. They aren't the smae plastic as Warhammer mins: both Testors and superglue just seem to flake off once dried. This is not a huge deal for affixing the guys to bases, but I have chariots to assemble. Any hints? Its the same plastic the old starter 'mechs were made of in the 1990's if that helps anyone.

I have used the Tamiya brush on glue on the few pieces that require assembly on my Krauts. It's a solvent (like Testors) so it should work on that plastic.

Otherwise, you're probably looking at 2 part epoxy.

Also--these figures require significant prep for paint to adhere properly. One basic thing you can do (and this may aid the glueing process) is to hand wash them with a toothbrush and granular Tide or other clothes detergent.

and rough up the contact spots.. like with a file or scraping a hobbyknife across the surfaces to be glued.
then rince the dust off.

I did wash them with dish detergent and warm water before gluing and/or priming the pieces I've worked on so far. I also washed some sprue to use as a test for glue. So far, TONS of super glue seems to work just fine for affixing infantry to bases.
