I just had to paint this guy while I waited for the primer to dry on my next deathrider.

Been assembling and embossing shields with greenstuff. Here's what I've been working on:

Here's my first banshee. It was my second attempt to do a monochromatic highlight from black up to white with color added afterward through glazes. Not exactly how I thought it would turn out, but I'm not complaining.

How the heck did I miss this thread?
I like the green skeletal horse. It has a kind of nuclear look to it. LOL

Do you have any close up pics that show the detail on your shields. I'd love to see that embossing.

It's even more nuclear in real life. The lighting in my house kind of wipes out the final highlight.

I'll see if I can get a good picture of the shields, but I think it might not show up because it's all black now. Maybe I should quickly paint up some infantry...

@Chris -- Thanks. That's the happiest I've ever been with hair that I've painted.

My werewolf... err Varghulf.

Let me know if the blood looks right. I took a nicely painted mini and went to town with my first ever blood effect.

My first Nightmare Legion mini is done. One down 200ish to go.

I used a method similar to the wraiths, with some minor changes. I glazed the green with Cryx Base Green and then Ordic Olive. The glazes on the bones started with Idrian Flesh, and the sword belt is glazed Battlefield Brown. The chainmail, sword blade, and halberd was done with a series of armor washes over my monochromatic highlights and used no metals. The shaft of the halberd and shados on the blades received extra armor washes. The eyes, pommels, and embossing on the shield were painted "normally" with layers.
