As winter is finally settling in I'm looking to converting/kit bashing some field artillery for my napoleonic themed guard army.

My question is thus,,,what scale would be close to gw? and also is there a place you can get model kits on the cheap? and lastly as gw does not make medusa model kits do you think there would be a problem with the wysiwug rule?

My basic plan is the measure the foot print of a chimera, build up a stone wall to represent the armour, horses for movement and artillery pieces and gun crews for the guns and HBs

While GW doesn't currently make the Medusa, Forgeworld does so if you are looking for visual ideas you could start there. But, seeing as your whole army sounds to be "counts as" I'm not sure why you'd be too concerned about WYSIWYG?

Well actually the main army consists of mordian iron guard, save for the use of perry brothers heavy french cav as rough riders and cav heads used to model some house guard/command units and special weapons teams and empire cannon carriages used as bases for lascannons.

How about armored stage coach style command car with a carriage for the Medusa as a second trailer.
