I have never used Geso Primer. I was thinking about priming in Geso and then spray painting on top of it. Has anyone tried this?
Also how well does Geso stick to Resin, and hard plastic.

Shouldn't be a problem. Gesso sticks as well as any brush on primer.
If I was spray painting, though, I'd probably skip the Gesso, spray it the base color (completely), then follow up with a coat of matte. The matte will ensure that you don't risk rubbing off the paint while handling the model during painting.
...done that PLENTY, myself.

Reason I wanted to try geso is it will be on Styrofoam which will disolve with spray paint.

Gotcha.
Don't use Gesso. It'll be too thin.
if you're going over styrofoam, I'd suggest a good, semi-thick coat of acrylic paint. Don't use your expensive GW/PP/Vallejo paints, though. Run to your local craft store & buy a tube of ceramics paint. I prefer the Ceramcoat brand for quality, though there are others cheaper.
If you're unaware, you pay $3+ for 17ml of Vallejo paint. Ceramcoat is about $1.50 for, like, an ounce of two!!!!!
That is how I'd handle it.

Prolly a little late on this, but just paint over the Styrofoam with regular Elmo's glue or wood glue. Much more cheaper.
